We enjoy trying out new places in Philly and this was not a disappointment. Truly an enjoyable dining experience and the wait staff friendly and helpful navigating house specialties. We started with the guacamole limoni made with goat cheese and pistachios. May sound odd but my philosophy is that goat cheese makes everything taste better! This was proven true yet... More

We happened upon this spot in our way to our evening destination. What a great little find! They specialize in all different types of guacamole. We tried the traditional - El Vez - and it was good! We could have gone for a little more heat and lime, but we liked it. Each of us tried a different margarita and... More

If you're looking for great Mexican, this is the place to go to. They have an amazing variety of food and drinks to choose from, specifically margaritas and tequilas. The food is also a good mix, from nachos to enchiladas. They also have the best guacamole to enjoy with chips before your main course! Even though the platters are small,... More

This was one of many visits to El Vez and as usual, it did not disappoint. I've never had a bad meal there and I believe it's one of the best Mexican restaurants in Philly. We ordered the nacho mommas to start and they were excellent. Next came the crispy Mahi Mahi tacos and they were excellent! Such a fantastic... More

Overall, I liked it. Early evening there's an energy in the restaurant and at the bar. Lots of fun. The food is quite good, more so because of the interesting twists you wouldn't normally experience from a typical Mexican place. Grilled corn on the cob was super tasty as were the tacos al carbon.

A friend and I sat outside at El Vez and despite the humidity and heat we had a pleasant afternoon. Our server answered all our questions and got us our food quickly. Their margaritas were perfect and refreshing and their layered nachos had a little of each topping on every chip. The corn on the cob came with a decadent... More

Had a wide variety of cocktails on the menu and and Ok amount of beers even on draft. Food was fresh, delicious, and service was fast at least for a late lunch. Highly recommend. Had a good variety of options for vegetarians.

I sat for 15 minutes till someone approached me. Very bad first impression. Decent food, though. Slightly over-priced
