The food and ambiance are fine- especially for Philadelphia where there aren't that many "French" options. But I did not appreciate receiving my credit card statement and seeing that it was more than I signed for - did they decide my 20% tip was not enough? Had an issue years ago with being told the wrong price for wine by... More

My husband and I just happened to look down the street and see the Stella sign so we thought maybe we had found a lunch spot. And we sure did! A very pleasant little oasis in the middle of the bustling city! I had a parsnip with ginger soup as well as a caesar salad. Delicious! The slices of crusty... More

If you're looking for a delicious dinner in midtown Philadelphia or perhaps even lunch try Caribou Café which is a French Bistro that shouldn't be missed. The 4 of us all enjoyed our food - from the delicious short rib sliders with Roquefort cheese, a plate of escargot and a good carrot soup through the fish du jour(Salmon) with capers,... More

We were looking for a place that could accommodate the whole family; including 10 & 12 year olds. This place filled the bill. The menu included burgers so the kids were satisfied and there were plenty of veggie options for my vegetarian relatives. The food was very good and the server was very helpful. Salads were large and delicious, and... More

My husband and I are visiting Philly for the first time and staying with family friends. They have dined at Caribou Cafe many times for lunch but had never gone for dinner before. We all chose the restaurant week deal which was a 35$ 4-course meal with 3 options each for salad & main course, and 2 options for dessert.... More

The Caribou Cafe is a great French restaurant near Jefferson, the Forest Theater and the Walnut Street Theater. A small bar with good drinks, the menu has traditional French fair and daily prix fixe option.

Friendly staff. Did not find them at all pretentious. Lovely atmosphere sitting towards the front of the restaurant outside. Chicken Crepe was delicious, as was my husband's ravioli. I didn't love the homemade pate - just a little different from the pate I'm used to. Would definitely go back and would recommend.

Charming French bistro with excellent wine and cocktail selection. Luncheon was crepes with side salad or pomme frites, which they call french fries tax and tip $30 each and we skipped drinks. Seafood crepe was grand, the Country crepe was a bit salty... when you have ham and cheese DON'T add salt! Though the atmosphere is darling the staff was... More

I ate here the other day, with many recommendations from friends. Was really disappointed, the sliders really needed a sauce, and my ravioli was really just one big 21 dollar ravioli...it was really weird and hard to eat. The server was nice but they were unprofessional, I saw them talking and casually drinking sodas in front of the guests from... More

Had a dinner with business colleagues here this week. Very good variety on menu (though not much for vegetarians), including sandwiches, crepes and more substantial meals. Happy hour prices were great for beer and wine and appetizers. My dish was very good-a mix of seafood in a puff pastry-very fresh scallops and shrimp. My dining partners all said their meals...
