Just came back from Zorba’s ... the food was mediocre, the service begrudging, and the delivery staff (who sat outside and right across from us) was noisy and smoked incessantly.
I love to support local restaurants. But I won’t be coming back here.
Greek spoken here. This is a great place for authentic Greek food. The lamb shank was great. Service was very good. They have a limited number of tables on the sidewalk and on the street. Some are covered. Visit the Eastern State Penitentiary and then...eat at Zorba’s.More
We decided to try something new. This was a smaller restaurant. Very friendly staff. They explained what the foods were and what we might like to try since we had not previously eaten in a authentic Greek restaurant. We did not care for the grape...leaves appetizer. The pita bread with lamb and sauce were pretty good. Prices were reasonable. I would recommend this establishment. I just don’t believe Greek food is our taste but don’t let that stop you from trying something new.More
Been here many times and their food is always good.
We shared the combination of cold appetizers for starter and it was good. Ordered 2 Grilled octopus and they were nice. Both roasted leg lamb and lamb sampler for two were delicious. Good services and...friendly waitstaff.More
We had both the sandwiches and the gyros platters. Everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and recommended some additional places to eat and visit while we are in town. The side of French fries were not cut in traditional fries and were small...but again, delicious.More
A neighborhood restaurant that’s been around for a pretty long time. The food is always very good with good service. The fired cheese is excellent as is everything else on the menu. There is outside seating, weather permitting.
Zorba's is within walking distance from the Philadelphia Museum of Art and also a block up from the Eastern State Penitentiary. We stopped here for a late lunch. At first glance, seeing white linen on the tables, thought maybe we shouldn't be here, but that's...just how nice Zorba's is. Our server was truly wonderful, didn't rush us, removed dishes when we were finished allowing us to relax and talk. We like that.
I had the fish gyro and it was fantastic. I was really amazed at how fresh and flavorful the fish was. We are planning to go back again this summer.More
Very tasty food! Went with another couple....Shared the cold appetizer combination, and it was a nice selection and very flavorful! Grilled octopus appetizer was outstanding! Plenty of both to share amongst the four of us.
Shared two main courses with a friend: Shrimp with tomato...sauce and feta cheese was delicious!!! Artichoke dish was good, but would not have been enough for a meal.More
