Didn't expect much when meeting friends in the area but the quality of the sushi, service and atmosphere was a really nice surprise. The waiter was able to make good recommendations (recognized that the tuna is fresher than the sea bream). It didn't break the bank and felt like good value for the quality of what we received. Food comes... More

Great location in Chestnut Hill. Very busy. Parking in the back, but there might be a fee at certain times. We went on a weekday evening. We started with the Kobe Garlic beef. Excellent, $16. Also had Gyoza, $7 and miso soup, $3. All very good. For our dinner we had Yaki Soba with shrimp, $15. My husband thought it... More

Although I am not totally in favor of fusion Sushi, this time I strayed away from the classic Sushi preparation and had some fun. The preparation and presentation were perfect and the service was very pleasant. Do try some of their cocktails, theyare a step above the usual, too.

This is a place where you can get OK sushi but excellent service. We've been there a few time and it's always consistent.

An excellent meal started off with the kobe beef which was divine and the steamed dumplings which were very good. Main course was a selection of Sashimi and sushi selected by the head chef, i have to say that was amazing and filling. On the whole a quite pricey but we did have two bottles of red too. Best sushi... More

The best quality sushi in miles. Good service. Fresh fish. Nice people. Great take-out. Only draw back is the Specialty rolls are waaaaaay to pricey.

Execellent all around. Very good sushi, sashimi, and noodles. Service is generally reliable. Rarely a wait. Good for families or couples. There are two levels and they do a good job of separating out adults from families. We've never had anything other than a very positive experience at Osaka.

I've now been to Osaka two times. The first was a wonderful experience--the fish was FRESH, the menu diverse, the food superb, the service...excusable. All of this led me rather foolhardily to return within the week, this time with additional people, and enthusiastically order more fish than rational justified. Regardless, this time, to my surprise, the fish was not at... More

Osaka is a perpetual favorite of ours and one of the top sushi restaurants in the entire area. I would recommend a reservation on weekends or peak times. I especially recommend a reservation if you wish to sit upstairs away from the host/bar area which can get a bit busy with people doing takeout. The service is good here and... More

We have come here many times over the years. The sushi is quite good. We came in at 7:45 on a weeknight and asked to sit upstairs- away from the TV over the bar, and the bad music from behind the sushi station. we were told they were closing soon. ( really @ 7:45?) The next couple came in and... More
