We try to go here for special occasions. Everything that comes from the kitchen is spectacular and the service is attentive without being fussy. If I win the lottery, I would eat here every week. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself!

We had a party of seven people at Bibou to celebrate my daughters graduation from the University of Pennsylvania graduate school. The restaurant has a preset seven course menu, with menu items primarily classically french inspired. The fact that Bibou is also BYOB is outstanding....More

Rare, indeed, is a world-class French restaurant that seats merely 18, plus two bar-type seats. Moreover, it's located in a decidedly non-prosperous Southeast Asian (formerly Italian) ethnic enclave and offers no wine. The entire concept is reminiscent of the comic BC's apteryx: a hairy winged...More

Went here with my wife, and similar to many other readers we were quite simply wowed. The head chef/owner is a former Le Bec Fin exec chef, and you can see little touches of the famed Philly restaurant (the butter and rolls being the best...More

I don’t understand (except from the vagaries of crowdsourcing) why this restaurant isn’t in the top 5 places in Philadelphia. Instead it is rated at about top 5% and much lower than other places I’ve been to that, while excellent, are eclipsed by Bibou. First,...More

Every serving of the 7 courses was great. We were 6 people and no one could complain about anything. The service was impeccable which made the experience even better.

Teeny spot filled with food worshipers. Everyone is in on the experience. The waiters and staff are determined to be at their best. But it's not stuffy or pretentious, just damned good food. BYO means you can go wild if you like.

Amazing in so many ways...the food was out of this world; each course was better than the last, tasty, creative and "scrumptious" as my husband says! The soufflé for dessert was indescribable! I have no idea how chef Pierre does it. The ambiance of environment...More

My wife and I first visited Bibou several years ago based upon a stellar review in the Philadelphia Inquirer. We are out-of-town foodies who seek out the best restaurants a city can offer and Bibou remains one of our top two favorites in Philadelphia (along...More

Our evening at Bibou was perfect from the moment we arrived. The service was excellent and food beyond compare. Not only did they have fresh-baked gluten-free bread, but they printed a separate menu showing the gluten-free accommodation. Each course was as delicious as it was...More
