Great little bar and restaurant. Excellent beers, I never order french fries and after trying one fry our table ordered a whole side for dessert, they were wonderful. I wish the vegetarian Philly Steak Sandwich had more veggies on it, but it was pretty good. Great service.

Good Belgian beer has become ubiquitious and this place is partially responsible for that. There is an extensive beer bible and they rotate the beers on tape. They occasionally have hard to find specials. The back room is very much like a small bar in Bruges. They have the usual bar food, hamburgers, but try the selection of mussels with... More

Need I say more? If you are a beer snob, or just enjoy great beer, you will love this place. Dark, somewhat hidden restaurant that just seems to keep going, and very busy. The food was fantastic and the beer list was more than impressive. Would absolutely go back again if I was in Philly.

Always a great meal when we are in center city. Its crowded, you'll wait for a table, and the noise level is high. There also is a huge beer selection and a competent staff to guide you. The waiter in the back is friendly and efficient. Food is better than you'd expect. There is a large menu, including great salads,... More

My boyfriend and I went here for an early dinner on a weekday. Monk's has an amazing list of beer to chose from. I had a burger that was very tasty! It came with fries and I believe a chipotle mayo sauce... omg...so good!! My boyfriend had a bratwurst and fries that was also very tasty. The service was great... More

HW and I had a magnificent meal presented by the wonderful waiter. The mussels and frites were fabulous. Our waiter was efficient and gave us lots of information about the city. We will return an our next visit!

Hands down the best beer selection in all of Philadelphia. The beer menu is several pages! They have beers from all over the world. The food isn't bad either. the Mussels are great.

Definitely not your average bar food. Mussels, duck sandwich. Amazing beers (selection of 300) and flavors of food were on point. I had duck sandwich

I love the great vibe and music, impressive beer list and good food. We were lucky that we didn't have to wait and got a table in the back bar area, though it was late on a Sat night. Bartenders and staff were friendly. Mix of locals and out of towners. If you nerd out on beer, like me, then... More

This place is amazing. The food was great. The service was perfect. The beer!? Well your gonna need a few hours, because that list is long and the Tap menu is remarkable, especially because they have Russian River on tap. If in Philly it's a must. Plus! It's a super cool little dive style bar. My favorite kind.
