If you're in Philadelphia and looking for a good, hot fresh Italian meal be sure to put Spasso's on your agenda. The staff is always friendly and efficient. The food is always hot and quickly prepared. The hot and cold antipasto can be a meal in and of itself. Great selection of wine and adult beverages. Enjoy

We were searching for an Italian Restaurant in the old town of Phili. The food of Spasso is good but not so good as mentioned, so a 3/5.

Looking for an Italian restaurant near by we found Spasso, and oh what a find. Very reasonably priced, nice wine selection and fantastic food. Fresh grilled vegetables with my veal, and a healthy portion too. Gorgonzola salad was also very tasty, had a light oil and vinegar dressing that had a hint of lemon delicious! My wife's filet was prepared... More

Near the riverfront, this is a large place that opens early for dinner, so a good spot after sightseeing in that area. The pastas a largely home-made, with good portions, reasonably priced. It's also a block from the 2nd St. subway station.

Sam and the staff at SPASSO made hosting our son's wedding rehearsal dinner easy. The food was wonderful. They helped make the evening memorable with helpful hints, advice and attention to detail, and a great room set up to accommodate our group. The place was wonderful. We are from out of town and they helped us book, plan and stage... More

Looking for an Italian spot near Penns Landing and stumbled on Spasso. Great authentic Italian restaurant. Nice menu selection...healthy portions. Service was outstanding! I had the Penne Spasso but didn't want the blush sauce; just olive oil and garlic. No issues - very accommodating! With a party of 6 and one of my buddies wanted the "special" from the previous... We had 23 siblings and our spouses who wanted to take our sister out for her 70th birthday. Half of us live in the Philadelphia suburbs and the other half live across the Ben Franklin Bridge in New Jersey. Spasso is close to the Bridge on the PA side and they were able to seat 23 of us for an... More

In Philadelphia on a Monday night during the DNC. made reservations on Open Table. Everything was fine but nothing special. No need to come here unless you can't get a table somewhere else. The food and service was ok but honestly nothing great (except for the incredible lightning storm that we got to watch.)

Excellent neighborhood Italian food that never fails to satisfy. Service is friendly and pasta is homemade. Portions are generous and prices are fair. Chicken dishes are very good and the chicken parmagiano may be the best in the city! The linguine putanesca is definitely the most authentic rendering of this dish in the city.
