The restaurant has an amazing vibe, great menu items and excellent service. The food is outstanding. Great place to take business clients or just going with friends.

This was the third time my husband and I dined at Buddakan. We had reservations at 6pm on Saturday. The spot they were going to put us was in the bar area with lots of foot traffic, and we asked if we could sit elsewhere. They said yes, if we were willing to wait. We were willing, and got seated... I hate to say this, but nothing was good at this restaurant....the food was not terrible, but it wasn't great. It simply wasn't worthy of the high price tag. Dumplings were too soft. Duck wings over cooked. One exception was the peppered beef; that was heavenly. The service was "okay". The decor was kind of strange. I wouldn't bring smaller... More

I had heard so much about this restaurant , I was under the impression that it would fail to meet my expectations. NOT at all - we were a large dinner party, ordering a few of each appetizers- wow !!! Unbelievable menu, dishes are fresh with outstanding ingredients and cooked to perfection . Entries are the same - sea bass,... More

We dined at Buddakan following a late Saturday afternoon Philly Pops performance. We shared the calamari salad, an excellent blend of fried calamari, crisp lettuce and a light and tasty dressing. The Spring rolls were a shrimp-chicken mix. Crispy, served with a side of Chinese mustard sauce, which was a bit strong, I dipped, next time I will drizzle lightly. We... More

This is one of the best Chinese dining in Philadelphia. They have a communal table in center but other tables are individual. I enjoy coming for set lunch menu which is only $19 for three courses

A very cool vibe and Devore merit five stars. Four for dinner during restaurant week. Chopped Asian salad was a big hint with just a touch of spice in every bite. Pork dumplings were fresh and flavorful. Chicken with cashews was good. Salmon was very over cooked but the sauce was good. Filets were cooked as ordered but were the... More

OMG, the food here was SO good! We had the Buddakan style sashimi and it was exceptional. In addition, we had the curried cauliflower. It was simply amazing. For entrees, my husband had the pepper beef and I had the five spice duck. Both were very, very good. The drinks were great, too! Thank you, Buddakan!

Visited this restaurant for Philadelphia Restaurant week. There was the usual limited menu for $35.00 per person during restaurant week with very limited choices. I thought the food was very good however you get very small portions and the entrees are a la carte. There are no options on the limited menu for sides such as rice or a vegetable.... More

I've been a few times. The first two times I went, I ordered the steak for two with the shoestring fries and it was delicious. The last two times, I have been, I wanted to try something new, and the food ended up being just okay (the flat noodles), but their Bao buns were delicious.
