We were attending a show downtown and decided to try The Capital Grille for dinner prior to the show. Parking was easy with all of the public garages nearby and a short walk to the restaurant. Since it was a Saturday night and bound to be busy, we had made a prior reservation earlier that day. Upon arrival, we were... More

While I've been fortunate to have enjoyed some outstanding restaurant experiences, nothing comes even close to the meal I had at the Capital Grille in Philly last evening. The Bone in Filet was out of this world and literally did not have to be chewed. I can't imagine how they get their meat so tender. A cup of Lobster Bisque... More

One of my favorite places to go out for a good steak the service is always great and the steak is always cooked correctly. It you don’t have to worry about cost and you get what you pay for then i would go here.

I had the tenderloin sliders, so tender, you almost don't need teeth! lol also the tomato basil, moz salad was over the top! 18 year old balsamic vinegar, cheese ( made fresh every hour and a half) and the biggest red juicy tomato you ever saw! Perfection!! To top it off, the only lobster bisque I have ever had that... More

I'd put the Capital Grille on par with the other good steakhouses in Philadelphia -- Butcher & Singer, Barclay Prime, Robert's Steakhouse -- despite Capital Grille being a chain. Service is generally good and friendly. Food is what you would expect for a well-respected steakhouse.

I don't "do" chain restaurants, no matter what- Until now. The Capital Grille has won me over (twice!) I have eaten at two of their fabulous establishments, both were exceptional. My experience at the Philadelphia Capital Grille was exceptionally wonderful. I took my husband and 2 children (ages 5 & 6) for a lunch splurge. I lead with this because... More

I've been here quite a few times for a work event. The food is great and very reasonable. The layout is nice and the restaurant staff are friendly.

I have eaten at the Capitol Grille in a few other places and it has always lived up to it's name. This one however was terrible. The service was minimal, the salmon was bland and nothing to brag about. The steak we had was burnt and it was supposed to be medium. And to top it off the asparagus was... More

This location did not disappoint. We started with the seafood tower, yum! Then moved to a shared mixed salad. If we were wise we should have stopped there, but then the main course arrived. three of us had the filet and two others had the sea bass. They were all delicious. My sliced filet was overcooked but was quickly changed... More

Have eaten there many times and never disappointed. Its a real true steak house. Expensive but not as expensive of some I have been too.

The Avenue of the Arts is the perfect avenue to dry aged steaks, too. Philadelphia Magazine declared The Capital Grille “a carnivore’s dream.” Top off your fabulous meal with dreamy Chocolate Espresso Cake or Crème Brulée. Then stroll it off on your way to Kimmel Center or the theatre.
