Prior to this, we had eaten at 3 of Stephen Starr's restaurants and decided we'd only go to his because they were all great. Alma de Cuba fell short of our hopes. The Coconut mixto ceviche was about the worst I have had. The Paella had nice large shrimp but relatively no flavor. It is not a restaurant I'll recommend.

Alma de Cuba has delicious Latin fusion food, highlighting fresh ingredients in pleasing combinations. But the true star for our group of six was the service. We cannot say enough good things about our server Lindsay, she was personable, efficient, informative and completely professional. Her performance was exemplary and it was a busy night with lots of large groups to... More

My husband and I recently had dinner at Alma de Cuba during a weekend visit to Philadelphia. I hadn't realized before we arrived that Alma de Cuba is a part of the Starr Group along with Budakhan where we had dined during our last trip to the area. As one would expect - very cool vibe, excellent service, good drinks,... More

What a cool restaurant! I accidentally stumbled upon this place walking around looking for an after dinner drink (great location). I sat at the bar with a few coworkers and we ordered mojitos (fantastic). Shout out to Willy, the bartender. So friendly and it was a pleasure meeting and talking with you! The decor of this place is amazing! Romantic... More

This is the 2nd time I have been here. The first time was with friends and this time I brought my family. It was wonderful. We shared a bunch of plates. These were our favorites: verde empanada, crispy pork, bacon wrapped dates and oxtail marrow. For dessert we enjoyed the Cuban cigar! And a dessert that had a meringue bowl... More

Went here mid-week and was surprised at how crowded it was! We had a table upstairs away from the bustling bar area. Service throughout was attentive and our server was very knowledgeable about menu items. For appetizers we had the Ecuadorean Shrimp Ceviche which was excellent (Tip: Be mindful of the corn nuts – you might lose a filling!) and... More

Went for dinner before heading out to the flower show. Fantastic atmosphere and service. Try the cervices sampler, awesome. The crispy pork is addictive. Also for dessert the cigar is a most just for the show. Service was excellent and attentive.

Everything was just so tasty, extremely well presented. A real treat to enjoy the experience and be led through by my Cuban friend, the only negative was that he was the only Cuban. Traditionally made mojitos with a slice of sugar cane. Thank you guys. Especially Amanda for your kind treatment to mind friend. Brilliant brilliant brilliant

Vaca Frita is about the best I ever had...hard to get something else...and I try to stop at Alma de Cuba every time I am in Philly overnight. Great atmosphere, great music, great drink and great food.
