Stopped in on way to an appointment. Had a cannoli which was really good. Stop in and check them out. Thinking about what to bring home to the kids!

The doughnuts are excellent, almost as good as Beiler's in Reading Terminal Market, and they sell this thing called a 'pecan diamond' which tastes like a cross between a pecan pie and baklava. I found the recipe in the South Philly Review - cookie dough, pecans, brown sugar, butter, honey, heavy cream... omg.... it is so worth the calories. The... More

We stumbled upon this small bakery while walking Walnut Street. Sinatra being piped to the sidewalk, I had to stop. Cakes being created on the one side, pastries & cookies on the other. I really wanted anisette biscotti but the only had "fancy" favors, no true, basic Italian anisette. So, I chose the eclair. It was very, very good. When... More

The "Italian hot chocolate" is nothing but Hershey's syrup and cornstarch, mixed in front of you. You'll get a better cup at Starbucks. Any real Italian would be ashamed to use Hershey's choc syrup! The pastries are stale by the end of the day and the staff leaves you wondering if they give drug tests or not to their workers... More

We watched the Foxnews morning show which this place showcased a Turkey cake that was very nice and given the size of the peices they sliced very large to say the least, however the actual product that is made for resail is 1/3 the size of the one presented on the show, a classic bait and switch. When asked about... More

It's a tried and true South Philly bakery that has a 'center city' location right at the corner of Walnut and Juniper streets with wifi and plenty of tables and chairs, so we've never had to wait for a seat. It's a great place to pick up coffee & a pastry in the morning, or special $1 coffee around noon... More

We popped into Potito's twice whilst staying at the Holiday Inn Express close by. The coffee and cakes are excellent, even if not everyone is to my taste. The shortbreadie things with raspberry filling reminded me of jammie dodgers! Good jammie dodgers. This is a friendly and pleasant place to have a tea or coffee - try it!

Italian pastries are my weakness. I knew I would break down eventually when I was in Philadelphia for a conference. This location was next door to my hotel and I tortured myself for a couple of days walking by the windows slowly several times each day. Almond horns are really my favorite and I am sorry Potito's disappointed me in... More

This was our first visit to Potito's Pastries on Walnut Street. We went to this location expecting to find a different dessert place we have gone to in the past. We had a very nice experience. I ordered a decaffeinated cafe au lait with a butter cookie topped with a dot of chocolate fudge. My husband had a hot chocolate... More

Potito's was not at this location our last visit. What a nice surprise! An authenic Italian bakery. They have a wonderful display of cookies, cakes and pastries to choose from. We enjoyed stopping in (more than once), and having a coffee, zepoli, and cannoli. (one of the best we've had). We also had the flaky clam shell looking pastry. Delicious!!... More
