We enjoyed our small plates dinner here. All of the dishes were excellent. Highlights were fried artichokes, eggplant dip, and lamb chops. Servings were on the larger side for small plates. Amazing watermelon cocktail. Restaurant is loud - not a good choice if you have difficulty hearing.

This restaurant has an amazing atmosphere! Although the outside is your typical downtown Philly, the atmosphere inside was fantastic. I'd recommend seats away from the windows personally. The food was fantastic and honestly cooked to perfection. Not very oily at all, everything tasted fresh. And the best part was their fish of the day. I had skate (a type of... More

We all shared the fava dip which was delicious. We ordered the beet and goat cheese salad, lamb gyros, chicken skewers, rock fish and Greek salad. All of our food was amazing and fresh with lots of flavour! The cocktails were also great. I finished with a serving of baklava which did not disappoint! Our server Dan was very helpful... More

The nice, open and high-ceilinged restaurant was about half full at 5:45 on a Sunday. Very nice hostess and server! Pastitio was uniquely seasoned (I've been to Greece) and loaded with béchamel, which is necessary for a great dish! The village salad was authentic, with tasty cucumbers, olives, feta and peppers. The cheese board was one of the best I've... More

I happened on OPA while on a business trip to Philadelphia. I hesitated to go in because it seemed so dimly lit. But no matter. I was not disappointed by my visit. I ordered the chicken dish and it came to the table prepared perfectly with just the right amount of supporting vegetables. I also tried one of the local... More

The concept is greek tapas so of you are really hungry you should consider ordering at least 2 entrees. Their flavors and quality is outstanding. A little bit pricy like all restaurants in Philly downtown, you end up paying around $60 for two people including taxes. Add to this the tip.

I met my niece and nephew for drinks and food on a Wednesday night. It was not very crowded, maybe 50% of the seats at the bar and tables were taken. We ordered drinks and the fried calamari. As soon as we finished the calamari, we were told we had to get up and move to the bar if we... More

Excellent service, food is out of this world, our server Dan went the extra mile to offer his best. Great tapas concept combined with Greek Cuisine. It's worth every penny!

A wonderfully intimate dining space with center bar and apparently a beer garden in the back! Joined friends for an evening of celebratory small plates. We tasted: mussels (bathed in deadly pot liquor); French fries seasoned with oregano & other spices; lamb skewers. Two orders of the eggplant spread w/pita, which we all agreed was the freshest most deliriously creamy... More

This was a small plate dinner option. We tried six things between the two of us. One plate was better than the last. Very good! Can not complain about any thing. Definitely worth trying...

Opa is a new Modern Greek restaurant and bar located in Center City's Midtown Village neighborhood. The menu features a fresh take on traditional Greek flavors. Featured items from the mezedes (small plates) include herbed keftedes (meatballs) in a ouzo-tomato sauce, octopus and spinach croquettes served with a smokey feta dip. Large plates offer a variety of items such as striped bass and pastitsio. The signature cocktail list and Greek wine selection offer the perfect complement to your meal. Acclaimed designer, Jun Aizaki/Creme, created an alluring setting which includes a striking birch branch canopy.
