Ate here on April 1st. Waitress was really friendly and attentive. I had the small plate of eggplant parmesan (which didn't look like your average one but was ohhhh sooo delicious), The Joey Pizza (whole wheat crust) and Rosemary peach sangria. Everything was great...However it was my first time having pizza on a whole wheat crust and it will be... More

This establishment was perfect and amazing. Smelling the fresh pizza down the block, I tried to go this Saturday night but by 9pm the wait was still two hours long. Determined to see what the hype was about, I returned Sunday for lunch to be pleasantly surprised to find that the hype was worth it. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan... More

Walking around downtown and decided to give this little place a try. Has some good times on the menus but was looking for pizza. If you want something traditional you won't find Pepperoni on the menu. Went for the spicy side and tried "The Joey" was very good at the start but the crust towards the center became soggy as... This was my second visit to Zavino and I must admit it was the charcuterie board that beckoned me! At $23 the chef's selection board came with two selections of meat ( cut razor thin and piled high), two cheeses, a stack of naan, pickles, peppers, whole grain mustard and a fruit preserve. We split between two with leftovers and... More

My wife and I visited on a Sunday afternoon. We sat at the bar, the last two real seats in the restaurant (I say real because they have an undersized high top table to cram 2 people into - no thanks). We each had a 1/2 glass of wine and split the Diavolo Pizza. The pizza was absolutely delicious and flavorful.... More

I discovered Zavino while visiting Drexel for a initial college tour with my daughter. I am not sure if it was the school, or the breakfast Calzone and French Toast at Zavino that made her choose to go to Drexel. Since then, we have had two family Sunday Brunch's, a family dinner, and a couple's dinner here. All the ingrediants... More

Pizza, pasta were all very good. Gnocchi were done perfectly. GF selections included cavatelli pasta and a pizza. The GF bread was exceptional. We will be back. The only thing missing was a special GF desert.

Excellent food in a trendy atmosphere. The pizza is out of this world. The wine selections are great. Have been to this restaurant on many occasions. Have only been there for lunch, not for dinner.
