Kansas is my go to neighborhood restaurant. It is tiny but oh so delicious! The food is outstanding and is served by a delightful wait staff. The portions are large. There is an authentic sushi bar as well as great dumplings, soup, teriyaki and all...foods Japanese. The bill will surprise you- it is so very reasonable. Walking distance from museums and Parkway hotels.More

A great family run BYOB restaurant that is great for take out as well. I have had them even prepare trays for catering a work event and a holiday party. The sushi is great and the sweet potato roll never misses. Makes the neighborhood better!

Kansai is a small good little sushi place. They have all the basics and some good inventive ones as well. Always super friendly and fast. The lunch specials during the week are an awesome deal!!!

I have been to just about all of the sushi restaurants in center city, olde city and Fairmount area (and then some) and this restaurant continues to serve the freshest, tastiest, and most beautifully prepared sushi. Unlike other restaurants, the sushi is always fresh (never...fishy) and consists of nice, healthy pieces of meat (also, the rolls are never over-stuffed with rice). This restaurant is also a BYOB and has friendly service – both pluses.More

Tucked away in the art museum area of the city, Kansai is relatively new, a smaller sized restaurant with a quite, sophisticated vibe. The sushi is absolutely amazing (especially the specials) and is absolutely beautifully presented. Excellent restaurant.
