You can't beat the convenience when you're staying at the Marriott. The restaurant was never really busy during our whole stay, which surprised me that the service was very slow. The food was good and I would eat here again. The best thing is the location, plus the fact that you can have a good meal while you're having drinks to relax after seeing the city. It definitely has a bar atmosphere and it's very relaxed. We came inside at least three times, sat both indoors and along the street. Overall, I found the place to be enjoyable and recommend if you are in the area.

Great brunch spot. Short walk to Academy of Music to eat before a show. Made a reservation through Open Table and were seated promptly. Loved that the coffee was french press. I enjoyed the Crab Bennie and my husband said the chicken waffle was very good and crunchy, although very spicy. Also recommend the bread bar. Will definitely return to try other brunch items.

I came here with my wife since they are part of the United Airlines Dining program. We came on a Wednesday night and sat at the bar. The service was fast and efficient. They only have beer by the can/bottle and we both had a mediocre IPA. I would recommend to order wine as the selection looks better. We both opted for the Special Chicken 2.0 which is a half chicken with crispy skin, and comes with fingerling potatoes and peas. The chicken itself was moist and perfectly cooked. The only thing I didn’t care for was a sauce or glaze they used on the chicken which made it salty. Other than that it was amazing.

My wife and I had tickets to enjoy a show at the nearby Kimmel center. The show started at 8 PM. We made reservations at 5:30 PM and ordered our dinners at 5:45 PM. It was after 7:00 PM and our dinners still did arrive. We complained. Our dinner started to arrive at 7:20 PM. We dined as our friends sat and watched us. Their dinners arrived when we were half way through our dinner. We were having a show dinner special that included dessert. We did not have enough time to have our dessert. When our friends complained, the manager, Trish, took us off the show special meal price, then charged us normal price and added a discount. Bottom line, she did nothing to remedy the situation. She then had the nerve to give us a complimentary coupon for a drink at our next visit. Their will not be a next visit!! They ruined our entire evening.

Restaurant week where you get a 3 courses meal for a fixed price ($35 for dinner). I went with a friend who wanted to try the restaurant. I walked away feeling hungry and I am a small eater. I could have eaten better ordering a entree only which I normally do and would ended up full with some left over. I ordered a grilled cauliflowers Brussels sprouts salad, and a filet mignon medium and fennel cake with ice cream. The beef was two small cubes and overcooked well done. Everything was below par and tiny portions. What a rip off.

Do not order from Libertine on any food delivery apps, i.e., Caviar/Door Dash. They have cancelled both orders we've placed within the past month, after each order was successfully submitted/accepted. We weren't notified until 30-50 minutes later each time, at which point limiting our alternative dining options. Notification was via phone call from Caviar/Door Dash and NOT Libertine. No one was reachable by phone at Libertine either time. I left a VM on Friday evening letting them know I was giving them the opportunity to call me back within 3 days to explain why it happened again, twice, 2-3 weeks apart, before I'd give negative reviews. Never received a call back. This restaurant is clearly mismanaged, unable to handle orders during this COVID-19 situation, completely unprofessional, and should be considered closed by anyone looking to support local restaurants during this time.

We had a party of four - two of us had the secret sauce chicken, one had stuffed trout, and one had the huge burger. We all enjoyed our meals very much. The staff was friendly and attentive. We had fun walking around the restaurant and bar, reading the great quotes written all over the walls.

Our first visit here was over a year ago and it was unremarkable. We just went back during restaurant week and had an excellent experience. Not only were the menu offerings delicious, but the service by Alyssa was incredible. There was a great sense teamwork in the restaurant with everyone pulling together but most of our interaction was with Alyssa. It was a busy night and she hustled all evening to ensure her tables were well taken care of. She is genuinely friendly and attentive (without hovering). We would definitely wait for a table in Alyssa's section!

I visited Libertine last weekend for a girls trip and it was amazing! I have nothing bad to say about the restaurant. I had a made a small mistake of booking the wrong day and the hostess was so accommodating and changed our reservations. Throughout our time at the venue we were engaged with conversation , laughter, and great service. We even got a lesson on the drinks, the history of the restaurant and cuisine. The " Miley Cyrus" is a must have! The entire meu is great. I had the trout with the crab meat. Our group enjoyed all of our food. We had the steak, the scallops and the crab cake. I had no space for dessert. This place is a must!

We were out of towners , in for a concert at the Kimmel Center , and looking for a restaurant within walking distance ( and some in this party were seasoned seniors) following a 5:00 PM concert and a later train - we ( party of 3) without reservations and even had a special table put up rather than sitting bar side- such friendly and accommodating service, matched by great food- started with the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, and then the fish of the day (a Cod prepared well) a flatbread and the "street pasta- nothing disappointed. Then having to rush out so not to miss the train - we were provided with take away containers and a quick check Would really love to come again; we all agreed it would be worth the trip

We had a French onion soup - excellent. Two burgers - both very salty and cooked well done (even though one was supposed to be medium). The small side salads that came with the burgers were overdressed - very wet. Service was slow - not sure why, as it wasn't very busy. There are many good dining options in the city - I'd look for something else the next time.

My daughter wanted Eggs Benedict and we heard Libertine had 6 kinds. We walked in and noticed a toast bar that looked awesome. We were surprised to learn that the chef makes his bagels from scratch and they had lox cream cheese and scallion cream cheese. We also enjoyed the breads. That was a special treat. My TEENAGE daughter ordered the Eggs Benedict and said one of the best she ever had. They say if you can please a teenager then you are doing something right! I had the ricotta blueberry pancakes and our other guest had a swiss omelette. We all loved are meal!

We’re only able to grab drinks - but based on patrons comments, out service for drinks and the overall atmosphere I will definitely come back for a meal. Also met the owner/ manager - very friendly. Drinks were good - nice feel to the place. Understand they have great burgers.

Libertine is an awesome spot! Eight of us went for brunch, and everyone enjoyed their meals and cocktails. The menu offers a variety of Eggs Benedict along with many other great options. The unlimited mimosas and bloody Mary’s were a great addition. The design is so bright and fun (very instagramable). The mini chocolate chip cookie from the hostess was also a nice touch!

During a recent visit to Philadelphia, we were pleasantly surprised by our meal at the hotel restaurant, Libertine, located at 261 South 13th Street. It was elegant but casual in appearance and the owner/chef, Derek Davis, actually came out to talk to guests. The menu items we ordered sounded heavy but were instead heavenly and light. We began with a Caesar salad - but this Caesar salad was like none we had ever had before, despite the ingredients listed! It consisted of roasted shrimp on a bed of grilled romaine lettuce topped with a light sauce that included anchovies, but the taste was very subtle, rather than overpowering. Our main course was a salmon and green bean dish with what was billed as a refried risotto pancake with cheese that was incredibly good! The kitchen was great about adjusting my meal to meet my dietary requests, too. Many other items were on the menu as well but we were pleased with our menu choices. We looked at the dessert menu, which included a homemade double chocolate gelato as well as sorbet, plus some other dishes that sounded wonderful, but we declined that indulgence. The restaurant was dimly lit and nicely appointed, with many of the tables near the windows in this historic area of the city. We were offered wine but did not have any. The serving staff could not have been nicer, more helpful or terrific! The owner actually came out to welcome and speak to us! Overall, we would definitely return for another meal!
