They do not know anything about fresh sushi. It is not even sushi. It is stale, rolls, that taste terrible. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Don't fall for their stupid cheap promotions and go somewhere with a solid reputation. They did not even provide any wasabi...with the rolls that I ordered.More

This sushi restaurant has a friendly staff who remembers you each visit. The restaurant (during non-coronavirus times) is BYOB and a great spot for date night. I highly recommend this to anyone!

Very extensive menu. Many unusual rolls though we are not roll eaters. We have an entree which also comes with soup and a salad. Plentiful portion cooked to order and taste. BYO. Parking is sometimes a problem as it is on street. They also do...a big take out and delivery business. The owner comes to the table to ask how you like the food. Dessert is a small candy bar. Price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get.More

I called from Montreal to reserve and find a way to pay for my friends birthday dinner, who lives in Philadelphia. After some research I found Koto Sushi, and called on a whim. Julian answered and was very polite on the phone, took time to...hear what I had hoped for, and then provided a way for me to pay . When my friends arrived, their table was reserved, the food delicious and plentiful, and the cake just perfect. It was very easy to organize this whole thing due to the efficiency and friendly way of Julian. Thank you, again, for making this happen. I am sure my friends will return on their own soon enough. All the best to this restaurant. My friends loved the atmosphere and variety.More

A wonderful find on the street of Jewelers. Wonderful food prepared to order and the owner/chef comes out and thanks his customers that are eating there. They offer a wide variety of rolls and sushi. We order the dinners. We had a Chicken Katsu and...a Habachi Salmon. Both were cooked to taste and were accompanied by a salad and miso soup. Also BYOB. They seem to do a large take out and delivery business as the phone is constantly ringing. A wonderful place at a very reasonable price.More

Had dinner for 4 here on Saturday night, it wasn’t very crowded as it’s located on a street that is very quite at night. There wasn’t very many options for young kids but mine did fine with miso soup and chicken tempura, the sushi was...fantastic and pretty reasonably priced. It’s BYOB which my wife and I loved!More

We had a nice dinner with friends on a Sunday night. The restaurant is comfortable and not over crowded. We ordered soup, two appetizers, and four rolls, plus hot tea. Cost per couple, just under $50. The sushi was good, but not quite as good...as my local sushi restaurant. It was not quite excellent, but still tasty.More

A quiet Sunday night on Sansom Street with all the jewelers closed. There were only a few others eating in; they do a large take out and also looks like they deliver. Food is cooked to order, fresh, tasty and very moderately priced. We found...them with a Groupon and have returned. Well worth going. Chef brought out his home made whitefish salad for us to taste. A much different and great tasting whitefish salad one gets in a deli or diner.More

This place isn't fancy at all but the Service and the Food are so amazing and fresh. Dress casual and enjoy the great food and low key atmosphere. We are going back for sure. Groupon deal can be applied to the entire menu unlike few...other places we have been to which was disappointing but this place is little hidden jewel.More

Everyone here was very kind and accommodating! Food is good and prices are good. Very cozy place! Casual and great for a quick bite. Skeptic at first but worth it! About a three minute walk from Independence Mall.

We both ordered the steak teriyaki. One was well done, the other medium rare; both were cooked to specifications. Great salad and soup. The chef came out to say hello and ask how we liked the meal. We complemented him on his secret steak dipping...sauce.More

I found Koto Sushi through Groupon. They opened fairly recently and I'm hoping that they'll grow to be a popular restaurant. Their menu was very extensive, ranging from standard Japanese restaurant appetizers to sushi, poke bowls, and cooked Japanese dishes. They also have dessert (mochi,...I think it was) and a large variety of drinks, including ramune! The sushi was very good, and I recommend the Angel Roll -- the shrimp tempura was perfect and paired so well with the cucumber, avocado, and spicy crab on top. The service at Koto stood out to me the most. All the servers were attentive from when I stepped into the restaurant to when I left. One of the servers helped me fill my water bottle too, so I'm grateful for that. The owner, JJ, came to my table at the end of the meal and asked for my name and how the food was. We talked for a bit and he invited me to come back with my friends next time. And at the end, when I left, he used my name -- this really shows his genuine devotion to making sure his customers feel welcome. I will definitely go back. I wish Koto Sushi the best of luck!More

Our party of 4 had a wonderful dinner at kotosushi. We started with the pork and vegetable dumplings along with the kani and dirty seaweed salads. All of them we delicious and the presentations were beautiful. One person in our party ordered the steak hibachi....The steak was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The rest of us ordered sushi rolls and they were delicious. Our server was very helpful when we were asking questions about menu items. The staff in general were all so pleasant and accommodating. So glad we got a chance to come here and we will certainly be coming back!More
