Came here on a whim on a Saturday afternoon while touring Philly as it was near the hotel. Really enjoyed the ambience of this large space with traditional wood decor. The bartender was very pleasant, and the reuben sandwich was excellent.

We came into the bar on the last day of our trip to watch a Premier league game on a Sunday very early afternoon. We were very lucky to come in when we did as the place really filled up fast! We had the best...Irish breakfast roll on our trip and served by Bridgette. Our glasses had no chance of going empty as she was the most attentive server in our time in Philly. The atmosphere was like being at home in Dublin. Highly recommend you visit on your stay in Philly. If your Irish, go for the mimosa with your breakfast - you'll thank me 😉More

The atmosphere was good and followed the Irish pub theme well. The cheesesteak egg rolls were extremely good. I had a burger and my companion had a salad. We were both satisfied even if it wasn't traditional Irish food! It was a nice casual place...where you could have a discussion without shouting over music.More

The people at Tir Na Nog were amazing at helping us host a large party of about 130 people. We used their large event space. We had some issues with the heat and they were quick to fix what they could. The food we had...for the party was excellent! I highly recommend the shrimp!! We did a cash bar and they had plenty of servers to get everyone the drinks they needed. If you are looking to host an event this is the place! The manager on staff that night was top notch!More

This pub is a great place to come and enjoy premier league games. Beer is great and so is the food. Great setup for games, very friendly staff and good environment, will definitely be coming back for more Chelsea games :)

Food is always really good. Fish & Chips is a humongous dish and the Shepherd's Pie is great. The service from the waitstaff at the bar is hit and miss.

Unlike the other "Irish pub" in the neighborhood, this place feels more like what one would want in such an establishment: fun atmosphere, great beer list, and good food, including many Irish favorites. I recommend the Shepherd's Pie!

What a great place to watch a game, any game. They held our reservation even though the place was packed with eager USA soccer fans. The service was excellent and fast, the Guinness was cold and delicious. The food was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed...our experience.More

This would be a great place to watch a soccer game. The food was ok. We went for brunch. I’m not really into Irish food but it is probably a lot more fun there at night while a game is on.

Got into town and needed a place close to our hotel to grab dinner. The Tir Na Nog was a few blocks away. It was early evening. Our waiter was very personable and very accommodating. Both my colleague and I had the Shepherd's Pie. Was...very tasty and hit the spot. Only thing that keeps this from being excellent is that it was a little loud and dark inside. It was also hard to find the main entrance.More

Stopped here after a recommendation from a local, and wasn't disappointed. As you'd expect from an Irish pub, the beer selection was excellent and the menu (traditional pub fare) was most satisfying. Friendly waitstaff that kept an eye on us without hovering. Would definitely go...back.More

Saturday afternoon, I stopped into this pub to meet a friend. The wait staff was very accommodating and seated me right away. I ordered a glass of wine and my friend arrived. The waiter, Patrick, came to our table right away and when we weren't...ready he was so friendly and let us talk. He returned to ask how we were doing several times and did not seem to mind at all that we took a long time to order. My friend and I were there for several hours and enjoyed the food tremendously. Patrick is an outstanding waiter! He even helped with directions on how I could find the entrance to the local train station. (He walked me part way!) Love, love, love this place!:)More

Pros. Good gathering place with friends. Huge bar areas. Food is pub grub. Shepard’s pie was excellent and generous sandwiches. Warmer weather welcomes outside dining and there is a small interior lobby dining area that is bright and open. Friendly waitstaff. Cons. Three entrances. Hard...to find if literally using the 1600 Arch Street entrance. (The restaurant is in an interior area, but also accessible from opposite side). Main entrance is a bit of an eyesore. The wooden floors have seen better days. A bit disjointed interior but you go for the spirit of the place. Bathrooms are clean. But interior restaurant dining areas are tired.More

I sat at the back bar during a Friday afternoon. The crowd eventually came in and the area was very lively. Gabi served me and the other customers. She provided very friendly and cheerful service. The kitchen was slow getting my meal prepared. I started...with pretzel sticks. You can skip these. They are very greasy and not very tasty. Two sauces are provided, mustard and something mayo based. The mustard was flavorful, the mayo and bacon sauce was bland. My main, corned beef and cabbage, was very good. It was flavorful and well cooked. Not too oily or salty. I enjoyed it. Total for the two courses and two beers: $42. Not bad, but seems high.More
