A friend of mine was hosting a big girls' dinner and we all came here. The space isn't huge, and we were the only ones there, but due to the fact that we were a large group, it was perfect. The lighting is low, so...it could make for a romantic date, and there are little quirky decorations like metal buckets for light fixtures and lots of branches placed around. The restaurant is BYOB, and there are several guacs to choose from. We ordered classic and mango, and both were good, but the chips were the star. They are thick, largely cut pieces of blue corn tortilla that's fried to perfection (crispy, crunchy, and just enough grease for flavor). I ordered the shrimp with lentils, and they were good. I didn't think it was anything super special. The other girls ordered Mexican corn, which looked delicious, and I also had a bite of someone else's quesadillas, which looked and tasted great. There are definitely other things I'd order from this menu, so I'd come back again with better lighting conditions. The server was nice and very attentive. At the end we ordered desserts. I tried another girl's chocolate truffles which were good, but there is a coconut ice cream that is just incredible. It's creamier than actual ice cream, and not too coconutty...it's perfection. This place is a hidden gem! Met up with friends for a Saturday night casual dinner and boy were we surprised at the exquisite menu and preparation. My rule eating out is generally to order a dish I wouldn’t cook at home so I got...the steak with churrasco sauce... it was absolutely cooked to perfection and the marinade, spices, and preparation was awesome. My husband had a Cuban - It was probably the best Cuban you can get in Philadelphia. My bread was toasted to perfection, the pork was flavorful as was the ham, and just the right amount of Swiss cheese ! The jalapeño sauce made it even better. Our friends had the lamb- it looked delicious. Service was great, it’s a BYOB so even better! But be sure to bring cash... it’s cash only. So hit the ATM and don’t think twice about heading here. We’ll definitely go back.More

This place is amazing . We got lamb shoulder and it wassssss goood! Heavy tho! Arepa was yummy too. The host was great respectful handsome and knew what he was doing. I will recommend this place to everyone ! Cash only is the only problem....i won’t get the desert tho! Not that it was bad it was not special.More
