Very enjoyable dinner celebrating a momentous event. The restaurant is a few blocks away from Rittenhouse Square in a nice part of Center City. We were promptly seated and greeted by Ricky, our waiter. Excellent service from him and all the staff at the restaurant. The food was very good. My wife and daughter wanted to share/split their appetizers (crabmeat... More

Ate here by myself on a business trip. Impressive decor. Great service. Had a house salad-it was good. Ordered the del-monico ribeye steak. Requested medium doneness. It was cooked to perfection, other than it was cool. It must have sat somewhere not on a hot plate, nor under a warmer. So by the time I was served, it was cool.... More

A bit unusual in that we took our family (one daughter as young as 6) on a Saturday night. Warmly welcomed and scored a great table. Delicious food. Service not entirely polished, but nothing that detracted from our good time. Would recommend 100%, but do not expect total perfection.

I didn't realize this used to be Striped Bass. The service and drinks were awesome. I had oysters as an appetizer, very tasty. I split Beef Wellington with my co-worker, it was absolutely fantastic. I will definitely be back with my wife.

This was our first visit and the reviews were spot on! The ambiance is a throw back to another era. Our crabcake was delectable. Our Porterhouse steak for 2 was prepared and seasoned perfectly and the stuffed hashbrown was decadently delicious! The wine list is obscenely expensive and in retrospect we should have stuck with cocktails and a glass of... More

My wife and I took the opportunity to dine here as our valentine's dinner ahead of a show in the area. The location is perfect, as it is very close to the theater district in Philly. The decor is very elegant in a beautiful space. Lots of parking close by, although it will run about $25 for the evening in... More

Butcher and Singer has to be one of my favourite restaurants in the world. Set in what looks like a 1930 banking chamber, its old world class and style is equally matched by the warm, low lighting, the background music and the buzz. The service is outstanding, the wine list seems to go on for ever, but the meat....!!! The... More

This was a our first time here and we were impressed. The service and atmosphere was great. Their choice of Manhattans will leave you wanting more! The filet is delectable and the crust on the outside is pure perfection.

Good service, excellent meal and good ambience. A great place to dine if solo or on a couples night out with your love. The meal portion was also good.

On our recent visit to Philly we had a wonderful lunch at Butcher and Singer. Missing my west coast roots, I ordered a shrimp and crab salad that was absolutely amazing! Will go back for lunch and have it again on our next visit! We also discovered a great new cocktail called the Eastern Standard - it's a new favorite.... More
