Arrived around 5:25. Started with a few saltim (salad), and a great home made hummus and laffa (flat bread), then went on to some tayim (taste of) consisting of lamb kofte, and pastillas (chicken pastries). Kofte had a great texture. Went on to a nice dessert of konafi and a wonderful Turkish style coffee. Hummus and flatbread were what stood... More

Tapas style Mediterranean/ Israeli food that was unbelievably delicious! Our waiter James was super helpful and guided us toward amazing choices. It is a hot ticket and we tried two weeks in advance to get a reservation and the best we could get was 5:15pm which is on the early side for us! But we kept it and glad we... More

We have visited a few times now and it never disappoints. I'm sure there are people that don't think they would be into Israeli/middle eastern food, but they really need to try Zahav before ruling it out. From the humus onward everything is exceptional, and plenty of options if you are not a meat eater as well.

I didn't have a reservation, so I wanted for about 40 minutes for a seat at the very busy bar. The bartender was terrific...super friendly and and went over all the dishes with me. The food was spectacular, especially the humus and laffa bread, the beef & lamb kofta, and the fried cheese dish (can't remember the name). The fried... More

My wife and I dined here on our recent trip to Philly. I had eaten at Zahav a few years ago, and had really enjoyed it. The food is as good as ever. It's full flavored, and absolutely delicious. But the portions are small. And the prices are a bit much. I mean, $14 for two meatballs? The wine list... More

If you come to, live in or near Philadelphia, having a meal at Zahav is a must. This Michael Solomonov Israeli-style restaurant serves some of the best hummus I've ever tasted, not to mention the rest of the food on their menu. All the plates are small and meant to be shared, and there's plenty for all. The service is... More

Once again I chose Zahav to celebrate my birthday. Once again they did not disappoint. This is my favorite restaurant and it's not just because of the amazing food. Service is over the top, attentive and spot on. I was thrilled to see that the chicken pastillas were they were just testing on my last visit are now on the... More

I visited Zahav with friends and we all loved it! We couldn't eat all of the food that was brought out for us, and it was all so flavorful! I would recommend paying one price and having the different dishes brought out for you to try. You can pick what you want from a list. It was all fantastic. i... More

Excellent selection, variety, service and Taste. Great meat and vegan options. Great ambiance. Would definitely go back. The chocolate dessert and haloumi grilled cheese were outstanding.
