Okay this place is AWSOME!!! I sat at the bar with an acquaintance from 🇮🇱 Israel. She wanted to have authentic Israeli food and this place did the job. From the amazing humus and salads to having a conversation with Chef Solomonov and finally the specialty Lamb shoulder. WOW!!!!! Out of this world! My suggestion is make a reservation in... More

Wonderful food. Beautiful atmosphere The music was a bit loud but did not overshadow the ambiance. There was lots of variety for all dietary likes and the servers were very accommodating .

Agree - Middle Eastern Perfection!!! Second time back (only because my wife and i live on Long Island NY), We were 7 people and had the tasting menu - the food was absolutely different and delicious from the bread to the dessert. Had a 5:30 reservation (the only time we could get) and we had superb service and we lingered... More

The title of this should tell you something about it. This is not an easy place to get a reservation for and that is putting it mildly. I am not the biggest fan of Middle Eastern food but this one is a borderline Wow! Their Turkish hummus is to die for as is the kibbe naya (raw lamb, bulgur, harissa,... More

Step 1. Remember to call for reservations at least 6 weeks in advance. Step 2. Take a test drive by to find the location tucked up on a tree protected hillside with an unassuming entrance door. Step 3. Book a hotel across the street to roll into after your meal. Expectations met. Hype justified. Wait worth it. Zahav stands out... More

The bread with the hummus they serve at the beginning is the among the best I have eaten. The salads were ok. The main courses were decent. The ambience, the drinks and the service were all really nice but the food is a bit over rated.

Another great Zahav meal; we go every 6-12 months, one small glitch this time. We have often ordered the lamb shoulder in advance - that as he only way to order it. Now they've changed to no advance order and first come until they run out. They ran out before we arrived for our 7:00 Friday night reservation (it was... More

While it can take a long time to get a reservation, this place is very well worth it. Unique mid-eastern and Israeli food, really savory and very healthy. Most are served on many small plates so we have the experience of great variety. I went with my son who is a chef in Paris on a short visit to Philadelphia.... More

restaurant started with predominantly Israeli food; very good but not great. Menu expanded to include more middle eastern food and now more interesting. The slow-roasted lamb shoulder is excellent.
