A very nice restaurant tucked away behind some trees on a hill close to the Delaware River. Food is Israeli and very well cooked. For those not familiar with Israeli food it basically is Middle Eastern. I found the spices a little stronger than Lebanese or Egyptian but quite tasty. My group had a private room and all food was... More

What a place, definitely worth the 45 minutes wait for a bar table! The food was perfect and the experience made all the better by the attentive staff, particularly Bradley at the bar, giving us great advice, tasters off the menu and explaining what each dish was. The tasting menu is excellent value for money for $45 and the humus... More

This hip busy old city Philly restaurant (must make reservations in advance, even during the week), has a unique menu of Mediterranean and Israeli small plates. The starter (don't call them appetizers) courses of salad and hummus are among the best we've ever had, and the small plates (fish, meats and veggies) are all excellent. Although the per plates prices... More

Hummas to die for. You can't go wrong with anything you order. Service polite knowledgeable and not intrusive The only problem... hard to get a reservation.

we heard about Zahav from Craig LeBan's review. My son is a foodie, so we took him to Zahav as a surprise birthday present. He was thrilled, and the dinner exceeded expectations. He said it was probably the best meal he ever had. The variety of dishes and flavors was a pleasant surprise. Everything was fresh and nicely presented. Service... More

I am someone who usually prefers good food at a good price and rarely thinks an expensive restaurant worth the cost but I will say that my dinner at Zahav's was a treat. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortably relaxed. The service was attentive and courteous.
