My husband (who is in an electric wheelchair) and I recently had lunch at Roberto's. We were able to sit outside on their patio, enjoying the beautiful flowers and views. We were immediately served with water, chips, and salsa, and we ordered a couple of margaritas. Our server checked with us several times before we ordered - my husband a chicken taquito plate and I ordered shrimp chile rellenos. Our food came quickly and was delicious. We took half back with us for later. Delicious food, great service!

Crowded Sunday night but the efficient and friendly host team managed the constant arrival of guests with ease. The wait staff and management did the same once we were seated.
The albondigas was so good, the mole sauce was rich and smokey, the salsa had the perfect amount of heat. Really everything was very very good.
The final bill with drinks for four adults was under 100.00 !

Guaranteed excellence every time. This extremely popular eatery has been serving the best margaritas (my fave, Hornybob) and food to regulars and newbies for years and, even if you must wait a short time for a table you will not regret it. The service is welcoming, friendly, professional and fast. We prefer dining in the spacious bar area upstairs (especially for sports) however, there is the dining room on the lower level, and a fabulous outdoor area, particularly pretty when the wildflowers are blooming. Tradi standbys for your individual cravings but consider the duck or lobster tacos/burritos for a taste treat. The burritos are HUGE so, unless you’ve burned 5000 calories on the day you drop by, be prepared to share or take away. BTW, the kitchen does corn AND flour tortilla chips so, if you love both, ask for a mixed basket.

This place is very popular with the locals for its great margaritas and the value. Prices are very reasonable and portions are large enough to feed two easily. Our margaritas were very good but the guacamole was only average, and neither of our entrees were outstanding. Service was prompt and efficient and our food came out surprisingly fast. Very nice all told but the food was no better than average.

We got take out because the wait to get in was over an hour. They were pretty slammed because they were short staffed. Staff was friendly and helpful and you can get alcoholic beverages to go. Good guacamole, salsa and chips. Both my hubby and I got the chili rellano (sorry I know I misspelled) which was very flavorful. Good refried beans and rice and LOTS of cheese, almost too much. All in all we had a good experience and would definitely recommend Roberto's if you're in the Mammoth area.

New Year’s Eve early dinner. Came in from skiing to eat here at around 4pm. We easily got a table. Excellent Mexican food and HUGE portions. I had the prawn fajitas and it came with guacamole, Refried beans (really tasty), rice and salad. - way too much food. I also had an enormous but awesome Baja traditional margarita - no scrimping on the booze. The kids also had great meals and you can take home what you dont finish. We tried the house special of deep fried caramel ice cream - one between four was enough but it was really good. Would thoroughly recommend this place. Nice friendly waiting staff as well.

My husband came here for dinner tonight and we were quite disappointed. I ordered the chicken soup as an appetizer and it was bordering cold. Not even warm. My husband got the Albondigas, meatball soup and his soup was barely warm. The refried beans were dried out and crusty in the meal and tasted old. All of the food tasted like it was at least day old, if not two days old. The place smelled of musty carpet and the prices were not cheap for day old, cold food. We will never go here again.

While at the Westin hotel in Mammoth Lakes, we asked the bartender, RJ, for heheh best Mexican food in the area. He said we should try Roberto’s, a local favorite. We went for lunch the next day and we were not disappointed. Service was excellent, which is sometimes hard to get these days. The food was excellent as well. I started off with a Cadillac Margarita (large) it was very good. Then went on to the meal, carnitas burrito. Boy was it big a delicious. Highly recommend having a meal here.

Large portions that are great for satisfying a large group after a day of adventure in Mammoth. We come here every time we visit and the service is consistent along with the food. Labor Day weekend was super busy and the staff was pleasant and handled the crowds well. They don’t take reservations so get there before you are super hungry so the wait doesn’t feel so bad.

Some outdoor seating on patio and socially distanced indoor seating. Food is always good and very large portions. Excellent salsa too! Lobster tacos are very good and the El Heffe burrito should definitely be shared with someone else who is definitely hungry!

Had an order to go. Lobster taquitos tasted like chicken and had a mushy consistency. There were 3. In the last one there was a 1"X2" piece of plastic. I called the manager. She offered to replace it. I passed. 2 item combo. I had 2 chili rellanos. They were ok. I didn't care for the cheese but just personal opinion. Nothing wrong with it. Best was the albondigas. Tasted homemade. It was a very good vegetable soup with meatballs. Not a traditional albondigas but still a good soup

We've been coming to Roberto's since the '80s and love it. The one thing I can look forward to is massive portions. Unfortunately the last two times we noticed that when we order Fajita's the portion of chicken is less than 1/2 of what it used to be. Normally we can fit 3 tortillas with chicken and everything else and still plenty to take home. Now there is enough to two and the remainder is a ton of rice, beans, etc. but no chicken. When I asked they said the owner decided to make the cut-backs. Prices have increased and the chicken portion is now 1/2? This is really sad as we've loved this place for years, but if I'm paying $23 you'd expect a decent portion of protein.

We had a party of 6 that came in. They refused to give us separate bills and encouraged someone in our group to use their credit Card and take on the expense. Only two people had cash in our group. My bill alone came up to almost $100 for two people. When we got the bill they had included a $29 service charge that was added. It did not say gratuity of 15 or 18%. So we were not sure where they came up with that service charge which made it hard for those of us paying separately. The food was okay nothing to write home about. They are expecting this comment because we assured them they would get one from us. Sad!!!

Food service was extremely fast, reasonably priced, but the food was just okay. Nothing special or nothing to write home about. I think they could have done a much better job with the parking lot seating. I would recommend take out due to covid.

Really great food and service. Good value for the money with generous portions (expect to take home leftovers). Menu offers something for everyone. Good beer and cocktail selection. Gets busy after 6 so works out well for an early dinner (5:30 beat the rush). Additional parking on the side of the lot is full.
