Nevados has a very interesting and varied menu for starters, main course and dessert. With their 3-course Prix Fixe option it is very tempting to go for all three, even though we generally pass on desserts. The only slight disappointment with our latest visit is that now the price of wines is comparable with other similar restaurants, whereas in the... More

We have been eating at Navado's for over 30 years during ski season. We enjoyed the food and ambience. Terry, the owner, loves wine and so we would bring a bottle of something special to have with the great food and share with him. Several years have passed since we had to give up skiing but went up this past... More

This is our #2 favorite in Mammoth. The building is older, view not all that great, but the decor and ambiance are quite good. There is a well-chosen wine list with reasonable (by restaurant standards) prices, a reasonably varied menu and friendly, attentive service. Their specials are always worth considering. Parking is a bit tight, but that's a small price... More

The chef at Nevados is an incredible artist. Items on the Bar Menu are out of the park. The kale salad with either blackened chicken, beef, or shrimp is a festival of tastes, combining fruit, veggies, spices, and an out-of-this-world blueberry (?) vinaigrette. The Lettuce cups were equally good. Highly recommended! Just get a bunch of items on the Bar menu... More

Great food and service. Nothing much for views or decor. Menu has some creative and traditional choices, so it is good for a group of people.

The five of us had the most incredible dining experience, delicacies by Chef Steve, service by Clay, and greeted by the owner Tim, who makes you feel like one of their extended family.

We treated ourselves after a long, hard hike. Prices are a bit high but this is a resort area and food and setting are really nice. Hubby had the sea bass special which featured a nice thick piece of fish with a sauce he really enjoyed. I had blackened scallops which were super moist with a little heat. I too... More

Had a wonderful dinner last weekend at Nevados. The restaurant is conveniently located at the corner of Main St. and Minaret Road. Although the atmosphere was quite nice with white tablecloths and subdued lighting, people were dressed informally and I got the impression that you could make the dinner as formal or informal as you want. There were so many... More

This was our "to go" places for many years. Back in the 1990s and 2000s it was one of the 2 or 3 best restaurants in Mammoth. Unfortunately, it did not age well. Too many 'bad food' nights to tolerate. Service was always unprofessional (i.e local boarders after the mountain closes) but reasonably friendly/ That was OK as long as... More

This restaurant was another excellent place I visited with my daughter and her husband one evening. With pleasant surroundings, good choice of food and very attentive staff we thoroughly enjoyed our night out. I can safely recommend the Nevados to anyone be it single, Couple or Family. Bon Appetite !
