We visited Schat's for breakfast (soup and a roll) which was delicious and decided to get a sandwich for our lunch. You can chose which bread you want, which meat, there's a choice of fillings and you get a free cookie. The cakes looked delicious too!

While the breads are to die for, we enjoy the cookies especially as we hike the trails. You cannot go wrong with anything here.

This is the best place in town to get bread bakery goods sandwiches and candy. Service is always friendly and helpful. They also have a deli has excellent sandwiches. Tip: day-old bread and some baked goods are available on the shelf at a deli at a reduced price. They also have excellent candies, but have done away with their gelato,... More

Stopped here for lunch as we entered town. The choice of breads is varied and the roast turkey was a real turkey with choice of white or dark. You stand in line, Subway-style, and build your own sandwich by telling the cook what you want. The soups are homemade and tasty. The sandwich comes with a pickle and cookie.

How can you go to Mammoth without a trip to Schat's? (By the way its pronounced "Shots") Fantastic pastry and baked goods, good coffee, fresh squeezed juice. Just do it. There's also a lunch bar in back. While they can be busy in the morning its nothing like the 24/7 mob scene at the Schat's in Bishop. The ladies behind... More

The poor step child of the Schat's in Bishop, this is a poorly run, poorly kept, poor imitation of the real thing. The main Schat's in Biship is so busy you can hardly get in the door. This place is empty, and with good reason. The bathroom is disgusting, I would hate to actually see the kitchen where they make... More

This would be 5 stars had I not traveled around Europe. They have pretty much everything or can make whatever you want. This is a big stop for locals as well. It's a get your food and go without a dining area. You can go to the adjoining cafe for a sit down atmosphere. Check out my photos and see... More

Really good sandwiches from here, and a huge selection of fillings. Massive selection of cakes as well as drinks. Was a really convenient stop with a funny name.

Thank cgjenner
