I was looking forward to good mexican food but this place was ok. I don't like to pay for chips and salsa and this place makes you pay with that said i won't be back. If the salsa was really great i would pay the salsa seemed like it was out of a jar, nothing special at all.

Overall the drinks were the best part. The food was good but not great. I expected more flavor but still had some tasty things. Ceviche was fresh and delicious, but it is kind of hard to mess that up. The Carnitas were good but the fajitas were a little boring. I would go back for that Jalapeño Sting margarita and... More

We love this place for a casual indoor or outdoor dining experience. The food is consistently good. Happy hour is a good deal. Most of all it's located in the village so if you sit outside you can people watch. They are kid friendly with a sand play area. Also allow dogs on the patio.

We are staying across the street, so decided to try Gomez's. It has a nice interior atmosphere with quick service. The food was very good Mexican...my daughter had the fajitas and I had enchiladas, which were both tasty. The coconut shrimp appetizer was excellent! I had wine, but the margaritas I saw were huge and looked good!

We (50 of us from our ski club) invaded this estaloshment just at hppay hour (3:30 pm). We had the pleasure of gettimg Maria as a hostess. We had multiple indivual requests and she acknowledged and served all of our needs timely and with pleasure. I know that she covered more than our table of 10. We had our fill... More

Very nicely done interior. I expected it to be very expensive but my dinner was only about $20. Dinners as well as a la carte options. If you get a burrito you don't need a taco as a side. The food is fresh, hot and tasty. Varied menu. I'd go back in a minute.

Look carefully and the negative reviews are probably due to the wait or other reservation problem. This isn't the best Mexican food in the world, but hits the spot up in the mountains. Try the wings - they are surprisingly good.

Thanks for your comments and kind words. We are the highest traffic restaurant in Mammoth other than the mountain locations. With a thousand happy guests a day who don't leave reviews, we have the occasional one that is unhappy. Wish more of those that left saying "thanks" and "great job" were inclined to leave reviews. But such is human nature.... More

Spent 4 days in Mammoth. We were in Gomez's on New Years Eve. The restaurant was a comfortable and cozy place to stay warm while the family skied. After the family came off the slopes we ate appetizers and had drinks until 7pm. At that time the restaurant closed to prepare for the New Years Eve Party. Maria was our... More

The restaurant must have brought out the “screw you over Christmas menus” for the high season because I cant think of any other Mexican restaurant that charges for chips and salsa… The Mammoth Margarita was certainly mammoth is size and alcohol content, but lacked quality margarita flavor. The service was good and our food arrived quickly. The meals we ordered... More

Thanks so much for stopping by. We actually don't change our prices for the holidays like some locations. We did have a minimum wage increase in California coming, so there were some small changes made this fall. That said, we would like to think we are doing our best to provide value in our destination resort. The "charge" for homemade... More
