Best Dinner in Mammoth

I've dined here several times, and it consistently delivers. Lakefront could stand up agasinst most anything in L.A., and stands alone at the top in Mammoth Lakes. The setting is removed from the crowds and lines in town, and seems a world away.

The service was beyond wonderful!!! Our server was familiar with EVERY menu item (changes frequently, am told) and their extensive wine offering. She was invisible and seemed to fill our wine glasses with telepathy. Each entre was accompanied by incredibly delicous & unusual sides. My elk with braised smoked chard was divine! The presentation was as delicious to the eye... More

Great service. Exotic choices of food. Line caught steelhead form Washington state, breast of duck cooked in sauce. Interesting salads and pumpkin panna cotta unusual and great. with out liquor our 3 course dinner $80/head. But steelhead main course $46, other main courses much less expensive.

This place was highly recommended by locals and was well worth it! From the service to the over the top food & wine, this was an amazing culinary experience. Highly recommend the silky potato soup (no cream) & melt in your mouth short ribs!

The intimate dining room has rustic cabin atmosphere. Staff are attentive and professional. Pumpkin cream soup was fantastic! We ordered steak and chicken entrees from the fixed course menu. The steak was perfectly done and the chicken was outstanding.

Started this outstanding meal with a Brussels Sprout Salad that had so many incredible flavours, I could have gladly ordered a larger portion and been totally satisfied. My main was a Crispy Skin Breast of Chicken over a bed of puréed chorizo, perfectly prepared grits and a deliciously prepared assortment of exotic mushrooms. Just phenomenal! The Pumpkin Crème Brûlée garnished... More

They have very high quality food, but as a 10 table dining room, the menu was limited. They don't have enough first course meals. I have the tomato watermelon salad, very good. I wanted Froi gras, too expensive. Verizon was tough, darn. Desserts were limited but the chocolate was great. It is expensive

This is a small, lakeside dining experience. The chef, Bobby Brown (his real name) is amazing - we had the venison and the ribeye and had the most amazing octopus as an appetizer (yes - in the middle of the mountains!) The wine list was reasonable and wines by the glass were top notch. A great way to "glamour camp"... More

You can't get better than this. The food is so good, we go there for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They have an excellent chef, Bobby Brown. The menu changes with the seasons, so the food is always fresh and beautifully prepared. I have never tasted anything at Tamerack Lodge (The Lakefront Restaurant) that wasn't absolutely wonderful. A little pricey but you... More
