I ordered takeout for my family and I. The rest of my family either hasn't tried/doesn't typically eat Indian food, however, we all really enjoyed this place! It was ready EXACTLY on time, and tasted GREAT. My whole family agreed it was really good, and enjoyed it. The portion sizes were good, and everything was really tasty. I would definitely order from here again!

The best curry goat is here. Everything is really good but the curry goat is especially good. The owner is a very nice guy, great customer service.

It was not only the worst Indian food I’ve ever had, it was the worst food I’ve had at any restaurant in my entire life. Absolutely inedible. Indian food is my favorite cuisine. Nawab was my favorite restaurant for many years. I started frequenting other Indian restaurants in the Valley and haven’t been there for a long time. When my usual places were closed, I thought of my old standard, Nawab. The chicken appetizer was dry. It tasted like it had been cooked days in advance and kept in a warming tray until it dried out completely. My palak paneer (which should be green!) was brown from being heated and reheated. Even the naan bread was burned. In an area with award winning Indian restaurants that cook their food fresh from scratch on a daily basis, Nawab can’t possibly survive much longer. They are surviving on the few college students who don’t want to travel out of Bethlehem to get at least mediocre Indian. For me, I would rather starve.

If you're looking for the real thing in Indian Cuisine this is the place to go. Wait staff very helpful in explaining the menu. Cost in line with the quality of the ambiance and food.

Nawab has been a favorite Indian cuisine restaurant for many years. The location is a little out of the way for us but so worth the drive. Located close to the New Street bridge which crosses the Lehigh River and the Lehigh University campus the restaurant is easy to get to and parking is not a problem even when the school is in session. The restaurant is large enough to never feel crowded yet you still feel like you have a private table. Service is always friendly, they remember your name and favorite dish every time you visit. For starters we ordered the Vegetarian Platter with a combination of Samosa, Pakora, Batata Wada and Paneer Pakora. Amazing start to the meal, each piece tastes so fresh. For our main entree we both chose the Paneer Makhani with cottage cubes cooked in a rich buttery tomato sauce. Spices are just right and have a North India flare. Great dish. We also ordered fresh plain Naan. A true delight and worth a try if you enjoy Indian food from the regions in the Northern part of India.

Nawab is a convenient destination for events on the South Side of Bethlehem, on 4th St below Lehigh University, and we have been there with some frequency. On a Saturday night three of us enjoyed and shared the Tandoori Fish Masala, Palek Paneer and Baingen Bharta with raita. I thought the fish was quite tasty; the palek paneer (spinach with cheese curds) was very salty, as was the baingen bharta (eggplant). The atmosphere is friendly and I can hear my friends' conversation. The tablecloth at the first table was dirty and we moved to another one. Then we had to remind the waitress to bring us menus. Dinner for 3 - $45.

We had a great meal here! The food was delicious and tasty. My wife is gluten free and 90% of the menu is GF, sadly the Naan was not. Every one that works there was great except for the younger man working there. He was not friendly and very abrupt. Not mean, just not nice. Then he had a loud phone conversation in the dining room about a messed up to-go order, should have had that conversation in the back of the house.

Ordered take out from Nawab on a rainy day. This was my first experience with Indian cuisine. Yes, I've had curry dishes in Thai restaurants but I feel that doesn't count. All the food was bursting with flavors new to my palette. Naan bread was very good and warm-fresh out of the oven. I ordered malai kofta - cheese and veggie dumplings in a creamy sauce with nuts. The entrees came with rice. I will be honest, it was a little hard for me to take in after a while because I'm not used to the intensity of the herbs, spices and curry. Besides that, we were very satisfied with our food and will probably go back at some point. When I brought my leftovers to work, everyone was jealous.

I enjoyed a visit to Nawab recently. The food was delicious. There are so many choices. You can also choose the level of spice. There are many vegetarian options. This is a BYOB restaurant. Prices are very reasonable. The restaurant decor is minimal. Service was very good. This restaurant also does a good job with takeout.

Excellent food and reasonably priced. Declared like home cooking by my Indian colleagues. Excellent service. Parking is a challenge. City is known for ticketing so be sure to pay at meter by credit card. Have been here several times over the years and always pleased.

My family stopped by Lehigh Univ on our back from NYC to Pgh. We decided to have lunch in Nawab because hubby & I love Indian food. What a letdown. Maybe we're just spoiled by the Indian restaurants in Pgh but Nawab is below average for the price they charge for the lunch buffet. Very few selections and the taste was just ok.

Hubby and I drove up to Bethlehem on a Saturday to have lunch at a certain restaurant. But when we discovered that it was closed we decided to try Nawab instead, seeing that it was nearby. We're quite familiar with Indian cuisine. Back home we'd eat at Laxmi's and Nirvana. We arrived close to 1 pm as they were getting ready to replenish the buffet station. I wasn't too impressed. The food tasted just okay, nothing special. The waitstaff seemed a little disinterested. However, I did feel that the lunch buffet was reasonably priced at $9.99

When we dined for lunch we had the buffet. The spices are intoxicating to smell, The food quality and freshness was uneven though. Some of the dishes blew me away while others were bland and uninspired. Plenty of vegetarian options. Decor and ambience are nothing special, and service was what you would expect at a buffet. My advice is try everything on the buffet station and go back twice for the good stuff. Don't miss the nann.
