My friend and I stopped here for a break, on the way from Pasadena to Death Valley. We can highly recommend a stop, as the service and the food was superb. One of the best sandwiches on our trip through 3 states. The whole athmosphere...was unique.More

My friend said it was the best coffee he had in the US, so pretty good. We stopped here for a drink and a ginger chocolate cookie which as great. Cool vibe

The delicious breakfast here was even better than the super friendly service! The cafe is only open for breakfast and lunch, on weekends, and has a limited menu on Mondays. But the Monday leftovers were still superb. There were fresh homemade breads and biscuits with...jam, and very fresh and delicious eggs and bacon. The eggs were perfectly prepared.More

Stopped here for lunch on way out of Death Valley to Las Vegas. Unbelievably good food in a tiny hole in the wall. Best chicken salad sandwich (Bahn Mi style) I have ever had. Potato hash was also outstanding. Baked goods (raspberry bar and chocolate...rosemary olive oil cake) were as good as you’d find in a gourmet bake shop. Full selection of coffees, lattes, etc. The restaurants at the Inn at Death Valley and the Ranch are good, but could learn quite a bit from this quaint little cafe. If you are going in or out of Death Valley on Route 190 to the east of the park, you should definitely stop. You’ll be glad that you did.More

We stayed at the Amargosa Hotel (for the adventurous) but worth it We were treated to this delightful cafe attached to the hotel, open seasonally. The food (eggs and such) we prepared to perfection. The employees...way cool. I would definitely go back.

As part of our California road trip, we were en route to Death Valley. This took us to Death Valley junction - where we came across the Amargosa Cafe. We were in dire need of refreshment, so decided to stop. We were served tea and...coffee and some lovely home made cakes by a friendly and informative man, who could not do enough for us. He also told us all about the history of the Amargosa cafe, hotel and opera house - which was fascinating. Great customer service and produce - Highly recommended.More

We researched places to stop for lunch on our way from the Las Vegas airport to Death Valley National Park, and this cafe sounded like it was just what we seek: the unique! The decor included tabletops and walls covered with information and historical documents...relating to the area - it was fascinating to read about the environs while we waited for our lunch. And it was SO worth waiting for! We both ordered the BLT on homemade bread - the sandwich was superb, and the bread was even better! The cafe is kind of in the middle of nowhere, and we were the only diners when we arrived, but by the time we had finished our lunch, the place was full! I can see why folks would make it a point to stop here...we certainly will next time! The server behind the bar was exceptionally personable, and it turned out that we had mutual acquaintances in Indiana! The cafe is closed in the heat of the summer, but it's definitely a must-stop on a cooler trip between the Las Vegas airport and Death Valley!More

The cafe is adjacent to the Amargosa Hotel and the only eatery within probably 30 miles. Unfortunately they are only open four days a week. We were lucky enough to catch them on an open day and had a wonderful breakfast. Homemade bread and biscuits....Wish we could have enjoyed one of their pizzas as we heard they are excellent. Friendly staff and good service.More
