Ordered at the drive thru the BBQ Ribs sandwich with cole slaw. VERY MESSY! The cole slaw dumped right into the pita rib sandwich. Cole slaw juice all over everything, and leaked out of the box. It was very good, but I was put off with the mess. Cole slaw should have been separate in its own sealed container.

it was my roommates B'day so I thought I would Surprise her - I do not care for grilled Chicken because its Always To Dry for my Liking, but because it was her Special day I said I will give it a try. Well I am Glad I did - it was Really Good - it was Hot And Not very Dry. I was Really Impressed . it was a little pricey for Chicken but it was Good, and My roommate Really Enjoyed Her B'day Meal.com

We ate at the location at Bradenton
5210 E State Rd 64 . Wasn't expecting much , it doesn't really stand out in a strip
Mall with several other restaurants , and the place was empty. Not overly clean or fancy, basically seems like an independent fast food diner out of the 80's , but the chicken is the real deal and puts any of the big franchises to shame . Basically if it wasn't for the food , the place would be a fail, but the excellent chicken and decent sides make it a diamond in the rough . Visiting from Canada we hit Basil's after a Blue Jays Vs Rays game in St Petersburg. We ordered the 3 pc flame broiled , a jamacain jerked chicken pita and a chicken wrap. Dark meat is available , which can be a rarity with franchises. I assume Basil's must have a good source for fresh local Chickens , but I am just guessing .We all ate every bite and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone that wants the real deal for good chicken!

I have no idea how anyone could give a good rating to this place! Our gyros were cold, the meat was tough and tasted like card board with some kind of thick, strange sauce glued on top. They did pile on a lot of meat, but maybe just to get rid of it since it was old, cold and overcooked. Most of it went to the dog. Sorry, but I honestly think McDonald's would be a better choice.

we don't eat there often because of Sonnys's and Casa di Pizza, but its a quick and good food to grab while you are out and about.

There is a lot of buzz for this small chain in Bradenton. Being Greeks that own it, I was excited. Upon entering I noticed that the place really needed a facelift. The decor is dated and the walls are drab. Nothing to write home about. We ordered the 2 pc. flame broiled chicken dinner with sides. The chicken was good but somewhat dry. Nothing special. My sides of potato slad and coleslaw were very good. Very homemade. My wife's fresh green beans were saturated with oil. Sorry this is not the place we were anticipating.

I found Basil's on Trip Advisor a couple months ago and have been several times. Each time I've enjoyed juicy, tender flame-griled chicken. On my most recent visit, Christmas Eve, I called in the early afternoon only to discover they closed early for the holiday. Luckily, George, one of the owners, was on the other end of the conversation and agreed to stay for an additional 15 minutes until I could get there to pick up my order. My extended family feasted on the regular grilled chicken and scrumptious chicken wings. The wings were especially enjoyed by my college-aged boys and they said they were the best they've ever had!
Thanks again to George and his team for a great experience!!!
