For our wedding we had four signature cakes and one "requested" to have a cake buffet for our special day. Each of the cakes had a special meaning to our lifestyle and they shined as everyone loved the variety and taste. My favorite is strawberry and his was chocolate. Then two inspired by our date days a Key lime and Orange Cream then our special request was a Cannoli flavored center piece with pastry cream and chips with a simple H in the middle as our cutting cake. Everyone loved these cakes and lots of people were happy to take some home. More than enough and the cost was WAY below what we had thought we were going to spend.

I needed a cake to feed 40 that was not the "same old-same-old". After sampling several of Hometown's cakes, I chose the Key-Lime Coconut and it was a huge hit. The cake layers were slightly limey tasting and the coconut icing between layers and on the sides and top was loaded with coconut. Tropical heaven! After everyone had a slice, they were fighting over who got to take a bit home! Shortly thereafter I needed another special cake--my brother's birthday party to take his mind of his chemo treatments. Hometown concocted a orange layer cake (it tasted like fresh oranges) with fudge icing between the layers and on top. Then it had an orange creamsicle icing around the sides. Out of this world!

Placed an order for a birthday cake in March 2021. This was for a surprise trip for my dad’s 60th birthday. The day before it was needed, I emailed to make sure it was ready with no problems. I was told that no, it hadn’t been made because I never confirmed. Fortunately, I kept the email thread that had the time/date stamp of when it was ordered. The lady said she could do it by the next day. Also, thank goodness I had ordered a basic cake with basic flavors or they couldn’t have accommodated my order. I was sent an email saying I could pick it up by 5. I requested an address for gps, since I wasn’t from there. Crickets. I called after looking online and saw that the bakery was closed. A man answered and informed me there were 2 locations, and which one did I request the cake from. I had no answer. I was never informed there were 2 locations. He finally tracked it down, but instead of giving me the address, tried to give me directions. He was told at least 3 times that I wasn’t familiar with the island, and to just give me directions. After getting snippy with him, because I was completely OVER this experience, he finally gave me the address. I arrived and paid. I really feel that this should’ve been comped due to their handling of the situation, and as a business owner that’s what I would’ve done. I was told the cake had good flavor, but being gluten-intolerant I can’t speak from experience.
