We got together after 50 years to celebrate a girls High Tea This is definitely the place to find a great time. The food was delicious - sandwiches, desserts and the best scones ever (some with currants and some without). The etagere was beautifully presented and the tea in the cozy was delicious. The ambiance was fabulous. The vintage tea cups were each different and beautiful!

We were in Dayton for business from the UK and were recommended to visit this cafe. Had a great pot of English Breakfast tea with a tasty sandwich….and met the owner who was from Liverpool originally so we had a good chat with him. Clearly really popular with locals which is always a good sign!

What a lovely place to stop in for a cup of tea and an authentic and perfectly made scone with cream! The owners are welcoming and top notch in terms of their personality and for their skill with the food and the homemade desserts. You can't go wrong with anything there...and will return because it feels like family!

I really want to like this little local cafe, but it's hard. Okay, so they served my salad and soup in disposable paper. The large plastic cup of tap water had the familiar taste of Oakwood water before we installed a water softener and reverse osmosis filter system. The tablespoon of dressing on my salad didn't quite cover it. The lentil soup looked delicious, but I'm not sure how much seasoning it would have required to make it delicious. I guess it's a place for locals who are happy to leave the house and not cook. About a 30-minute wait around noon.

We enjoy going here for a quick lunch, but more often then not, Tea Time in the afternoon. They have an excellent selection of tea and their finger sandwiches, scones and sweets are excellent. It is a small space and some tables sit a little awkward, but the staff is always friendly and they do offer seating outside. Central Perc is a neighborhood staple as well.

Central Perc is a delicious tea restaurant. It is a cozy restaurant for a nice cup of tea in the afternoon. The owner is a very kind and hospitable man who makes you feel like home. He will help you with recommendations if you do not know your teas. The homemade scones are also amazing. The store makes several batches of these fresh scones all day long. The currant scones with cream and jam are amazingly delicious! Just keep in mind, that the restaurant is CASH ONLY

I spent years in England and this place does an authentic high tea. Fantastic! Next time? I will invite the queen mum.

My family and I have been coming to this lovely establishment for years, and have never had anything less than 5 stars here. We normally believe that no meal from a restaurant can beat a home cooked meal. This place is the exception - they don’t sacrifice quality for anything, and good luck finding a better cook than Rose!

I took my granddaughter here for lunch and tea. She just loves this place. The food is fresh and excellent. It is a small location and usually crowded because it is popular. Prices are a bit on the high side, but for a special treat at holiday time, it was perfect. The scones are the very best you will get anywhere and properly served with jam and cream.

Lunch at Central Perc consisted of a pot of English Earl Grey tea, Pea soup, sandwiches made with fresh ingredients on french bagettes, with custard pie for dessert. Everything was quite authentic as British fare goes, and we really enjoyed it. They do get busy for lunch, but nothing took overly long. The young lady helping serve was friendly and came by several times, as well as the owner, Mike Morgan, whose British accent is still strong even tho he and his wife, Rose, have been in the U.S. over 20 years per the history on their menu. We do not live in Dayton, but instead 60 miles away. So far I've not found a similar British cafe anywhere closer, so we have added Central Perc as a saved destination for a pleasant drive and lunch. We won't be able to go often, but now know it's worth revisiting if in the area. We did bring some scones home, but they only lasted for a couple days of afternoon tea. :)

Central Perc is a small cafe that serves homemade items. The Scones are made fresh daily. The coffee and tea are excellent. The owners are very friendly and love to chat.

Stopped here with my wife and daughter on a Wednesday afternoon. As we entered through the back door, we passed by their storage area. We expected that there might be menu items and daily soups posted to read while standing in line, but there are only laminated menus at the counter. I got the "pick 2" with the turkey sandwich and chicken soup. The turkey, tomato, and lettuce were fresh but the bread seemed a little dry. The soup had fresh ingredients but was seasoned so minimally to be bland. The walls had several empty picture hooks waiting for some art. The young lady taking our orders was a bit surly––at the least, not so gracious or friendly.

Central Perc is in a wonderful location on Far Hills Avenue in Oakwood, tucked between other quiet storefronts. It makes a wonderful setting for a charming, little cafe. The menu is simple, but tasty. The food is pretty average and basic: ham, turkey, egg salad, and tuna sandwiches. However, a few of the sandwich combinations are fascinating! Two of my friends both ordered combos that included egg salad, meat, and other assorted stuff that you wouldn't think would go together, all between two slices of French bread. They both said it was delicious. My turkey sandwich had chutney and slices of crisp apple on it, and it was tasty. They were also serving borscht on that particular afternoon, which I have on good authority was quite delicious. There is a rather standard breakfast menu, and, of course, what British cafe would be complete without scones? We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here, and we'll definitely be back. I can't wait to check out their high tea! Next time, I will remember that they ONLY ACCEPT cash or check. NO credit cards! The $10 in my wallet almost covered my whole meal and coffee (it's a very affordable place), but not quite. Fortunately, my friends had their checkbook with them.

´Tis a grand sunny day in Centerville, Kettering and Oakwood. Snow is in our four season forecast later this week. Far Hills Avenue (48) from Centerville to Kettering to Oakwood provide a perfect setting of charm and character. Far Hills Avenue is an ongoing adventure for foodies and shoppers. There is an abundance of all-weather outdoor sports, as well as professional sports in the greater area. The community is an ideal center for residents and tourists. It is an Ohio resort setting. Today, our radar is set to the Central Perc European Cafe, which is located a block west of the famous Oakwood Club, which offers great steaks. British couple Mike and Rose offer sandwiches, coffee, tea and scones and much more... Even following an early afternoon Tennis match, the Central Perc European Café is nearly 100% full. Young parents with infants, senior citizens, and college students have discovered the Central Perc European Café. Mike definitely speaks British, and a visit to Central Perc European Café is as nice a visit as if one were in Great Britain. We decide on a simple chicken salad with greens and a fresh baked baguette. The service: swift and pleasant. The ambience: British tea parlor with great soups, wiches, and salads. The dining: superb. The tariff ´tis appropriate for the fare.
