Yum Yum Yum!!!!

In Dayton today it was near 20degree's, on of those days when your body craves something filling and warm. BBM, did not disappoint. Order two bacon cheeseburger /fries, beans and cornbread . All of it was fantastic, but the chicken breast I ordered was one of the best tastings chicken I've ever had the pleasure to eat!! The beans ran a very close race. The staff is super busy, but never fails to be friendly, and the establishment is very clean. All of this while noon lunch rush and the line is out the door!!! Job Well Done!!

Great homestyle food and prices !

My husband was working in Dayton and stopped in here for lunch today he had the meatloaf and loved it. He said it was the best he had in any restaurant. He brought me home the beans and cornbread and it was wonderful! The beans were seasoned perfectly and I really enjoyed the cornbread! He said the restaurant was perfectly clean, neat and friendly! He was working with some guys from Louisiana who told him about this place. They said it was the closest to their food back home. It's not in the best area of town but we'll definitely be going back!! Oh, and I forgot to mention their prices are very reasonable!!

The food was delicious thank goodness it wasn't bad I loved it so much especially the hot jerk chicken wings . You're really slayer.

Good Place for a Quick Meal

This place is properly named "Benjamin's the Burger Master" and has been around for over 30 years, with the motto "Dayton's Best Chicken." This gets a four for the value and nice service. It's actually a nice place, sort of a cafeteria front with menu options for the burgers. I had the rib dinner, which comes with two sides, with a drink it was a bargain $8 something. Parking out front, and while the neighborhood is somewhat depressed it's a very nice place. Ribs were falling off the bone, with a commercial sauce, it was just fine.

Good burger, friendly people and reasonalbly priced

I only had a burger and a drink, but it was very good. Nothing fancy, a little greasy, and crisp edges. Enjoyed it very much. They also had many choices for lunch ... lasagna, bbq chicken, meatloaf and much more.

Good Greasy Burgers, Below Average Fries, Bad Neighborhood

I read about the inexpensive burgers here. You can get a double cheesburger for around $3.50. Add Fries for another $1.50 more. The burger is charbroiled. The double is probably 1/3 lb all togerther. It was very tasty but greasy too. There's no bathroom inside. The fries were kind of flat. Chicken seems also to be a specialty here but didnt try it. The ribs in the buffet did not look to good. This place does not take cash. There is a coop credit union next door. Interesting appearance. The burgers taste like the mom and pop burgers that you would find in the silverlake area of los angeles. If i come back ill try the chicken and other sides like the okra, pinto beans, or mashed potato. Not a safe neighborhood. Be sure to come during the day.

Worth the hunt for burgers that are reasonably priced

Just north of the highway from DT. The menu us very reasonably priced and the burgers are great, really great. The Beef BBQ was okay, nothing to wright home about but not terrible either. CASH ONLY Was going to get a pie - but saw mold on one of them, so decided against it.

Quick, fresh, delicious food

The restaurant is located just north of downtown Dayton hence the neighborhood is not the nicest. BUT the restaurant has great food at a very reasonable price. It is simple and clean and very friendly. You can see the kitchen and the food is being made right in front of you. You can see the options on the small buffet line before ordering and the chicken is fried fresh as you order---as burgers are also grilled fresh as ordered. The set up is efficient and the line moves quickly I have eaten here off and on for years for lunch and have never been disappointed. Food is delicious and fresh ALWAYS.

Excellent burgers

It is not the best neighborhood, but don't let it keep you away. The food was very good. The cashier did get our order wrong, but the assistant manager came out and handled it. We will definitely be back.

Don't let the neighborhood stop you

Just a few blocks north of downtown Dayton, a small family owned business that's been serving up some of the best burgers, ribs and fried chicken for over 30 years. There is nothing fancy about this place, but it sure feels welcoming. With chalkboards advertising what's available, you'll walk up to the counter, place your order, pay for it and wait while they put it together and hand you your tray. While the decor of this place hasn't changed in 30 years, the prices many not have changed much, either. The BBQ Rib Dinner with 2 sides and a roll was just $6.79. Had a hard time picking my sides, they all looked good- the greens, corn, mashed potatoes, green beans, fried cornbread, fries or onion chips. The meatloaf special with 2 sides and a roll for $5.99 offered on Wednesday's was better than my Grandma's ever was! There is seating inside four about 40, but many of the customers were getting food to go. There's even a drive up window.

Tasty fried chicken; prompt, friendly service!

Stopped for lunch and had a two-piece fried chicken dinner with greens and mashed potatoes and gravy. All were very tasty and freshly prepared. You order from a counter (and can see the sides before you order) and your food is put on a tray. Fast, friendly service and very cheap -- got everything, including a drink, for under $9. Not many options in this part of town and am happy to say this is a good one. I'll be back!

The area looks a little rough but don't be fooled because the food is amazing. The hamburgers are amazing and the fries are even good cold (which says a lot from me.) If you love Mom and Pop places this is close to the top of my list. Its a Dayton must visit :>

Look its in the hood but it is Incredible!!!

If you want a great burger in Dayton, OH, this is the place! It is not in the best place in town, but so what? It is a great burger with a ton of flavor and it is a good price. I wish this place was in a better part of town but I honestly love their food, so who cares?

Excellent Burgers

A nice family style restaurant with a menu that includes burgers, fish, chicken, wings (too much to list!) The burgers are crispy around the edges and just right amount of salt. They are thin style so I'd recommend the double. Many sides to choose from but we had very good macaroni and cheese. Also, a good selection of pies and cakes for dessert.

A hidden jem!!

Funny, I have lived in Dayton all of my life, but had never visited Benjamin's until today. It was by far the best bacon cheeseburger I have ever eaten in Dayton! Prices were good and they offer home-cooked meatloaf, ribs, and lasagna. The service was great and the restaurant was neat and clean and very comfortable with its old school décor. I will definitely be back to try more!
