We have been here many times in the past. It is one of the best we have ever had. The presentation is excellent and the quality is top notch. I would recommend highly.

Met for lunch and enjoyed a great meal. While there were many guests the service was quick and responsive. I had the spicy sushi platter and it was just rite. Exactly what I expected though not hot by my terms. I would gladly recommend this place and will Visit again.

Akashi has arguably the best tasting sushi in dayton. I've never had any complaints over the sushi, miso soup, or salad, although of the three the salad is the weakest. The problem with akashi is the price, which is a little more expensive than the bargain sushi places, and the atmosphere. Admittedly we've only been for lunch, but at lunch... More

Was traveling and needed a Japanese fix. Looked up a few places and ended up at Akashi. Best decision you can make. It has the feel of a restaurant in Japan. Television with Japanese tv and the music was also authentic although more Japanese pop than traditional. I had the seafood tempura for an appetizer and it was a great... More

Although I went for the Japanese food I ended up having bibimbap which was delicious. I was dissuaded from ordering the sushi (my original intent) because the orders were one piece instead of two per order, to me, a sure sign of lack of authenticity. Sorry.

I went there for lunch today. I have always lived very close and drove by multiple times, I just have never stopped in. When I went in there wasn't any signs or anything on where to go for carryout, but a nice waitress gave me a menu and took my order. I got the sushi lunch. Plentiful and fresh. Very... More

This is a very enjoyable Japanese restaurant operated by a couple originally from Okinawa. Try the Okinawan beer! The sushi was as good as we've ever had outside of Noble Seafood in the Detroit area. The other dishes are creative and delicious.

This is a small little sushi bar with the best sushi. Daily specials are posted and the sushi bar is right in front where you can sit and watch them make your sushi. The variety is very good. The dinner menu is also good with appetizers, seafood, beef/pork and chicken offerings, noodle dinners and salad dinners as well. The offer... More
