We just happened to be in Yorktown and had time for an early/quick lunch. We were so glad we stopped in. The service was super friendly, and the prime rib sandwich was a thing of beauty. It was thick and juicy, and at the exact temp requested. I was especially impressed that the peas and carrots side, was something other than canned. It seemed fresh and was nicely prepped with herbs and onions—tasty. This is not a fine dining establishment, but it serves good hearty food at a decent price and does so in a friendly fashion. Among the best in Yorktown.

Excellent fish and chips! Conveniently located just across the street from the beach, this was a great place to grab a quick lunch to share under the sun. The workers were wearing masks, but not all of the other guests waiting for food showed the same courtesy. But the most important thing was the food. These were some of the best fish and chips we have tried, and we have tried many around the world (as far as Australia and New Zealand). Fleshy fish with a nicely coated batter that’s not greasy at all. The chips were also crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. All perfectly cooked. Definitely worth a visit. We did not try any other food.

York Pub remains one of our favorite runs for lunch. There is a pleasant energy, both at the Pub and beach front, so we usually eat here once every month. Food always tastes good and wait staff are consistently friendly and attentive.
Lately though, food portions seem rather lacking. The deserts are wonderful and come from Carrot Tree; however, a slice of carrot cake will cost you $7.50 and the slice is not big enough for two to share. In fact, it's really small for even a single serving, especially knowing the prices Carrot Tree sells whole cakes for, at their store bakery.
Further, we ordered a lump crab cake lunch and were charged $18.00 for a very small, single crab and a single side that was literally a measured size cup of green beans. In all seriousness, I would have expected the amount of food to constitute an entrée from a child's menu. Again, prices seemed really out of line with portions.
Anyway, we really like Pub and hope this isn't going to continue. Our last two visits have been a little disappointing. We'll give it one more try though.

The atmosphere and view can’t be beat, with the passing of dolphins, ships, boats, and beachgoers. Located on the York River in Historic Yorktown’s Riverwalk. Parking can be very limited. You can choose to eat with a/c inside or outside under a covered tent with a salt water breeze. Very attentive pleasant waitresses. Water wasn’t kept refilled; however, to their credit, they do use paper straws to help save our environment! It was a fun summertime experience. Menu entrees are rather pricey! An approx 2x6” bowl of Greek salad was approx. 15.00! Other than a salad and FF, not much for a vegetarian-vegan to choose from. They used to offer the Beyond Burger, but sadly have stopped carrying it? If they would offer the Beyond Burger, they would have gotten an excellent rating.

We went to Yorktown Pub with a friend after spending a day at the festivities honoring Veterans and the market on Saturday. We were seated quickly and after a bit our server came to take our drink orders. The drinks arrived and we had a wait to place our food orders. My napkin had a food stain on it and I requested fresh silver and napkin. After asking several times a different person brought out a fresh setting. Apparently someone other than the server brings out condiments, etc. since the same person brought condiments to my husband. We all chose flounder and all thought it was delicious. We have dined here in the past and never had a problem. Perhaps changes are due to COVID.

This little waterfront pub is perfect for lunch. We were able to be seated outdoors under a tent as it was lightly raining. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. Our waitress helped us make choices to suit out tastes and was very attentive. The view of the river and beach were excellent. Highly recommend stopping here for a meal!

We passed by the other, fancier restaurants nearby and wandered in during a busy Saturday. The hostess immediately welcomed us and showed us to an open booth (the only table left). Relieved to get a seat, we took in the atmosphere. The place was bustling. Amy greeted us and assured us she'd be with us shortly. Platter after platter of food went by our table, and everything looked fantastic. We placed our order, and got it in a reasonable amount of time. My husband got the Rockfish which was moist and flavorful, and I had the fried jumbo shrimp, also very tasty and filling for a "half order." A really nice experience on a beautiful Fall day. Recommend!

Appetizer Deep Fried Mushrooms arrived with our entree. Usually mushrooms are too hot to eat when served. These were luke warm so apparently sitting aside waiting for entree to be completed? French fries were cold and soggy.? Don't waste your money on crab cake which is 90% filler and few pieces of crab. We picked out the salty nontender crab and left the filler. The shrimp, scallops and fish fried in thick batter. Batter was crispy but little too thick. Shrimp, scallops and fish were hot, tender and delicious.

Beer was 3.00 for draft which was cheaper than we found inland. Food was a little pricey but the crab dip actually had crab in it. Place was busy but employees stayed steady and we didn't wait for service, it was like a revolving door the whole time we were there.

Waitress was friendly. The clam chowder was excellent but the rest of the food was just ok. Fries were on the greasy side and the cheese sticks (which don’t come with marinara FYI) we’re over cooked and had no cheese left inside. When we brought this up to the waitress, she was pretty adamant that her manager wouldn’t take them off the bill because my husband had bit into them. They did take them off but once again the waitress made it sound like a big deal that they actually followed through with the request.

At first I ordered a tuna sandwich med rare but it was way too raw. Fries appeared to be the last of the batch. Ordered the crabcake sandwich which was really good and the fries were fresh and fried to perfection. The bill had a higher price than the menu price but I got that corrected. That was my first time there and would go again.

We had a great time here. Small and with social distancing they had you wait a bit. We decided on a cheeseburger and it was cooked to perfection, and juicy. Great beer and wine selections. Would go back again.

What a nice surprise. Dropped in for lunch with the grandkids and felt right at home. Everyone kept wishing us a Merry Christmas and making sure we felt welcome…we did. I had a bowl of chowder (very good) and a grilled cheese sandwich (also yummy). The grands had selections from the kids menu and all announced they liked their meals. Well, one grand had the rockfish which he completely consumed. Had a couple of draft beers and very much enjoyed our visit. If we lived near Yorktown we would be “regulars here”. Friendly service…good food…cold beer (all at reasonable prices)….what’s not to like?

I took my mother-in-law for dinner there. We ordered onion rings. They arrived cold. I imagine they would have been good hot. On the server's recommendation, we both ordered crab cakes... they were grossly overdone... almost burnt. The service was okay; the server was attentive, but it seemed the kitchen was slow, even though it wasn't that crowded. The restroom needed attention.

After visiting the museum we stopped in. Parking out front. Pub is located across from the park/beach. Open seating and bar area. They had a fire and it was just what we needed The food was homemade and delish. Tons of fresh seafood. The chili was my favorite I would visit again
