I have taken lots of people there for lunch and the food is great! Their chicken salad is my personal favorite and their 7-up pound cake is great. I order the whole cake and bring home, cut it in pieces, put in sandwich bags and...freeze! I sent it to my grandson who live in RI when I do my boxes. He loves it!! I have never had anything bad there so I highly recommend it!!!More

We occasionally visit new restaurants in the area with our friend and opted for what we perceived as a French bakery according to the menu. We ordered the crab dip with crustinis, Monte Cristo sandwich, French Dip roast beef, chicken salad, and chocolate croissant. While...waiting for the food to arrive, we were told that everything in the case is 50% off and the case appeared to be quite full for a Sunday morning. Should have been a red flag. When the food arrived, everything was well plated and warm as it should have been. The Monte Cristo wasn't anything like I have eaten before. More like two pieces of french toast with ham and havarti cheese. Different, but ok to eat. Didn't try the crab dip, but our friend said it was quite good except for the crustinis. The chicken salad was surprisingly yellow in the bowl. Not overpowering to smell, but yellow curry was the odd ingredient. Not what we ever expected in chicken salad, but everyone makes it differently. Should be something to call out on the menu description though. My wife detests curry, but ate it anyway because it was her main meal. The crustinis with the crab dip and chicken salad were unexpectedly chewy. Expected nicely toasted baguette slices. Actually seemed quite stale as did the kettle cooked potato chips with the French Dip. Chips should not be chewy. Either they are stale or they were not cooked properly, either way they were inedible. Lastly, the chocolate croissant has always been a mainstay for my wife when on the menu. Surprisingly, unappealing to say the least. Dense texture and basically flavorless. Not what was expect from a Fren ch Bakery. We have been talking about visiting Sweet Dreams for weeks and decided to make the drive, only to be sadly disappointed with the overall experience. Staff is very friendly, but definitely cannot recommend this restaurant, based on the experience we had. Maybe someday revisit, but it will only be because we were in the area.More

Disappointing. Unfortunately this is not at all like a French bakery. The pastries are not as good as those at the nearby supermarket. The food is overpriced and doesn't have a special feel at all.

Very disappointing, very high prices and the bakery goods were no better then Food Lion if not worse.

WOW!!! This is a must do! The food, drinks, and pastries are amazing! I had Sallie’s chicken salad and it did not disappoint! The portions are large and taste great. The pastries do not disappoint!

My company took us to Sweet Dreams for a "meeting" (cough breakfast). The customer service was amazing and the food was to die for. The Chocolate Croissant was one of the best pastries I've ever had. Highly recommend

A friend and I went to Sweet Dreams for her birthday lunch. We arrived at noon on a Friday afternoon. There was only one table open. It clearly is a favorite a spot among locals. The food was fresh and good. However they were very...understaffed which added a sour taste to our celebration.More
