This place is great! Very old school atmosphere with great, standard breakfast fare. The coffee is phenomenal. The omelettes and sweet options are so great. Service couldn't be more friendly. Always a fun stop when in town.

My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch for me, later breakfast for him. He had breakfast, which he liked a great deal. I had a cheeseburger which was on a very unusual and delicious bun. The burger comes with a choice of side orders and because I had enjoyed their soup in the past I chose the... More

You simply can't go wrong with anything on the menu at Allisons! Family owned and operated with a hometown feel and great food. Parking in the front and rear. Get there early as it does get busy. All those people can't be wrong!

Home-made jam, brought me salsa without asking. Cute waitresses! Friendly manager brought me a local magazine showing things to do in the area. Eat here!

This is the place to go to after or before church for the best homestyle breakfast in Ventura. Lunch sandwiches can't be beat!

One of my favorite places to grab breakfast. But make sure you get there early, or you will have to wait! Small inside with little booths and they aren't rushing you in and out, which is nice. Probably the best jam I've ever had. Also love the huevos rancheros and the biscuits are delish! Love meeting my other mommy friends... More

Had a great lunch and service was very good. Would say it was excellent but the employees were chewing gum! How unappetizing to give a food order to a gum smacking waitress. They probably didn't realize how bad it looked as it was otherwise a very professional and friendly staff.

I have always been a fan of quaint cafes that serve great food. My expectations are always high, and always exceeded when I come to Allison's. Wish I was rich so I could eat here every morning.

Allison's Country Cafe has been in Ventura for decades now and remains one of the most popular places to eat. It has a vast menu with dozens of unique choices. My favorite: Curt's hash. Many of the menu items are named for the Allisons' children (and remain on the menu despite a change in ownership since inception. The only drawbacks... More
