Stopped by for lunch ! Food was Xcellent ! Very fresh and delicious ! Ordered spicy scallops and spicy salmon hand rolls ! Plus the jimmy rolls ! Also had some fried Twinkie ! Was different ! But good !

Great local sushi place

Friday nightsd at dinner expect a wait. The rolls and dinner box combos are great. Unfortunately the resturant informed us on last visit (past weekend) they will no longer accept the AXXESS card. I had previously had an issue when I was told AXXESS card was only valid for Dine in, and not take out. Now they wont accept it at all. My visit for dinner called for Teriyaki chicken bowl, 3 specialty rolls, and one 2 comboi dinner box. The total was $63. No complaints service was good and fast.

Very dependable spot for sushi

This is my favorite place for sushi in Ventura, for several reasons. First, they are very generous with the proportions of seafood that they provide, and the fish is always very fresh. Second, I love the way they prepare their tempura, never overdone, a great way to increase your vegetable consumption. Their menu has a fine variety of offerings, something for everyone, and they have very affordable Happy Hour prices. Service is always friendly and attentive, and the beer is always well chilled. Can't go wrong in this place.

Wish it was better...

The idea is there but the sushi just was not as good at it could have been. The menu was nothing special and the conveyor belt was not really on. Any roll with spicy tuna had way too much tuna inside and didn't have a good balance. I felt that they lacked a great menu and failed to give good descriptions of what each roll had inside. The best part of this place was that the chefs were very friendly and outgoing.

Good sushi resterant It's one of the last all you can eat places that has real high quality Sushi is always fresh Hot food is good too The hot food is part of the all you can eat as well Dinner is less than 30$ and lunch around 25$ Real good value with good quality Can't beat it for a sushi resterant. Highly recommend it if you like fish.

I have eaten here many times (probably 20 times) with my workers for lunching out over the last few years. Unfortunately the last time I ate here I got food poisoning. It was short lived but it will be awhile before I go back.

Quality Sushi and an All YOu Can Eat Option

This is a great little store front wedged in between Vons and CVS off of Victoria street in East Ventura. It has been a few things but for the last few years Sushi Fresh has been doing it right. All the normal items plus some really great specialty rolls. Fast service, very friendly staff. You usually run into one of the owners who will chat with you or share a beer. Try the Dynamite roll with the combo lobster, scallops and mushrooms. Great. I always try their special of the day. They have a true all you can eat plan for $20 plus bucks. Just make sure you eat what you order. A nice place for fresh sushi, friends and family.

Very much a locals place and the service shows as much. If you know the servers...you get better service it seems. Sitting at the little sushi bar delivers a much better atmosphere as the chef will guide you to the best eats!! Food is good! Great actually. Go early for lunch and for dinner if you want good service. Looks like a big turn over of workers.

Great fresh sushi

Great sushi in east Ventura. Very full menu with cleaver choices. Beer and wine available. Special 'box' lunch and dinner selections. Service is warm and friendly.

Probably the best non authentic Sushi

Of all the non authentic "korean owned" sushi places in Ventura, this is the best, by far. Great value as well. Don't miss the lunch buffet.

Good value priced sushi

We have been dining here off and on for around 1 year. Never had a bad meal, service is good unless they are really busy. The prices are reasonable.
