Crazy popular, great food & drinks, fun atmosphere! Went there several times during the month of September, enjoyed it all.

When we arrived in Ventura we stopped at the Visitor Center and asked about a restaurant and the gentleman recommended Lure. They don't take reservations so we went a little early. There is a parking garage right next door where you can park for free for 4 hours on certain floors and then a very short walk to the restaurant.... More
We were there about 04:30 PM, happy hour. That made it noisy, but not unbearable. Public parking structure right behind the store with a short walk down an alley to a back door or a slightly further to a front door. Greeted when we walked in, and given a back area booth when we said quieter area than the happy... More
One of the best meals i've had when i've travelled the states. Often I find with a lot of restaurants here the food can be very dense and heavy, but found this to be the opposite. Me and a friend of mine shared three courses as we were eating light, a delicious lobster dip to start, then the seafood platter... More
We came here with a craving for seafood we looked up Lure and read their reviews before showing up. One thing we loved was the quick service, the friendly waiter who made us laugh with simple jokes. The food was cooked to perfection and had lots of variety for seafood options. The ambiance was really clean and beautiful. This is... More
The scallop dish was delicious with a subtle and scrumptious salad of baby greens and fresh corn beneath it. My husband had a starter of fresh!! Crab cakes which was more than enough for an entre. The room is lovely and the staff is friendly and happy. My kind of place!
A top notch seafood restaurant that drew us in 3 times in 4 days. Great selection of fish dishes and a very nice oyster bar. Professional staff that knows good service. The sand dabs were the best we've had since Boston and the oysters were cold, fresh and delicious. Extensive dessert menu is a highlight. We shared the mintini sundae... More
Many happy hour choices, and the sizes are the same as for non-happy hour. The 2 of us ordered 4, and it was too many! The oysters were too creamy (though I told the waitress I didn't want them if they were that way - you know, not an "r" month). The calamari was good, the ahi tuna sushimi was... More
