This old ghost house, that is falling apart, is funky to be in. They use it as a Bar, with Pool tables! It's got some old spirits floating around there, for sure!

Really good laid back atmosphere and plenty of choice of draft beers on tap. That they brew on site!!

Yes they have beer, just in bottles... Food was decent and (at Happyhour) very well priced. The Vibe was pleasant, but service was very very slow. Did I mention there was no draft beer?

We stopped in on a friday night for happy hour and were quite inpressed with the fare and prices. We got 4 appetizers and 8 drinks and our total was in the $50 range. What a great deal, AND the appetizers were super good. We had a bacon/avacado/something tasty wonton that was excellent. There was also a live band that... More

A great Sunday Funday. Started with a vodka cran and pastrimi. Ended with a Pisco. Ah, memories of floating down the Amazon. All that is missing are the piranhas.

Went to the Tavern for happy hour on a Friday evening around 6pm. The front bar is a delightful room with big open windows that let in the sea breeze in this pretty surf town up the coast from LA. All menu items were half price for happy hour. I had the steak w/mash and asparagus, for $12. Food was... More

Definitley best place in Ventura, especially the downtown for a late night drink. Very good selection, live music, great atmosphere, what more could you ask for. They took an old house and turned the whole thing into a bar. Pretty great idea!

Attended a wedding reception here. It was held outside in the back, where the trees are speckled with lights, and the fire pits are surrounded by inviting leather couches. Food was good, and the bartender got visibly excited when I asked for an old fashion.

Good place to dance and get tipsy. The crowd does make a difference. There are two stages but they do not always run both. There is a lot of variety in age, both couples and singles seem to be hanging out. The bar service could be quicker and a little friendlier. They do have several bars though. The restrooms where... Last stop on our 2 day happy hour tour. The outdoor courtyard is like being in your back yard. Super comfy overstuffed chairs & a heater. Best deal a steak with potatoes/veggies for $11! Also try the bacon wrapped hot dog $3. The building is a 1912 house that just oozes character. Live music on weekends
