A group of us went to the cave on Saturday night and were thoroughly impressed not only by the wine selection but the food was fabulous. This is a quaint spot in the back of a wine store that offers a superb selection of wines from not only Napa Valley but all over the world. They are winetasting concept is... More

My friend recommended that we meet here for dinner. What a great experience. The unassuming entry of the wine shop hides the gem of a restaurant in back. I love the self serve wine tasting and the food is delicious. Their latest special of a basket of fries with a small bottle of champagne thrilled my friend as these are... More

Went here with friends and found the whole thing a bit confusing. You have to buy a "wine card" in order to swipe the card for your chosen wine....in my opinion it was all very expensive. Small plates for large prices.....

Went on Saturday night. The place was packed..as usual. We had to wait 20 minutes for our table (after 9) but it was all worth the wait. The place is inside a wine store, looks like a cave with great energy. You can choose your wine from a wine machine approx. 20-30 different bottles. The food was very good. I... More

I was going to retire this summer and had to be near home to make certain my paperwork was in order. Usually my husband and I go away to celebrate our birthdays and anniversary. He did not want to do a staycation. So we traveled up to Ventura and Santa Barbara. As dinner approached and we settled our suitcases into... More

It may not look like much on the outside, but inside, you feel like you're in a cave. They have these cool fountains for wine, kinda like a soda fountain. Their small plates were delicious. Get the scallops dish.

The Cave is basically a wine store, but one with an excellent kitchen and dining room with lots of "by the ounce" wine. You can buy a card for "x bucks" and use it for a variety of wine selections. The food is surprisingly good and the portions generous. Don't miss this for a fun and fine night of food... More

The Cave is known for its unique "by the glass" automated pouring system. It's a little contrived, but it works. Wines by the glass are pricey, but generally are interesting selections. We (two couples) enjoyed a number of small plates shared. The very best item we tried was a mild stuffed pepper appetizer - just a little heat, but oh... More

I just love, love, love The Cave 😍 Small bites that really aren't that small. I mean really they are the right size in my opinion. I had The Cave and substituted Turkey along with sweet potato French fries. Both were delicious. The fries the best I've had anywhere. Of course I needed to order dessert. Flourless Chocolate cake.
