What happened to the Block? That was our favorite restaurant over the last few years until our visit last week and yesterday. Last week our waitress was abrupt to say the least. She placed the beer I ordered (a bottled Belgium ale) on the table...and quickly left. Did not have the common courtesy to ask me if I wanted a glass. After I finished that beer she brought my wife some tea and didn’t notice or care that I had finished my beer and quickly left again. I wanted a second beer. That was last week. Yesterday I asked a different and most courteous waitress that I preferred Pinot Noir but only if the bottle was dated the last couple days or so. She came back and told me it was dated May f1st; yesterday was May 6th! So then I ordered a glass of Merlot and received a glass with a fraction over 3 ounces. Previously they served wine using the 5 ounce carafe. And furthermore my chicken sandwich was overcooked and dried out. What’s going on with the Block? David R. PeñaMore

The best part of this experience was the waitress - she was great. And even some of the other waiters were attentive to our table if she was not around. I was not impressed with the food. The Huevos Rancheros was skimpy and left me...hungry. The brioche frosted crunch french toast was overcooked with a very hard crust and dried out middle. It all just crumbled when attempting to eat it. The best thing on that plate were the strawberries and whipped cream, not the french toast.More

During the virus this has been my go to venue since it's been open. The service has always been excellent. The patio area is comfortable and the inside is as well. It has a nice ambiance, beer selection and food selection.

My wife and I lunched with excellent and attentive service by Itza. Both of us enjoyed the tomato basil soup. My wife enjoyed the new menu item brisket sandwich and I the Quinoa and Beet salad.

I sit at the bar when lunching solo. Today's experience was excellent as I enjoyed a leisurely meal. Virginia served me well respecting my desire to enjoy but not rush. My Coffee Porter was refreshing as was my French Cabernet Chateau Gravoux. The Brisket Sandwich...is a new menu item and it was tasty and well prepared.More

We used to like this restaurant a lot, it was our favorite breakfast place. Lately we have been noticing a lack of consistency. When I questioned my bad prepared dish, the waiter did not give an answer. He did agreed to remove the charge from...my bill, but not until and asked him to do so. Sorry, we won’t be coming back any time soon.More

Recently stumbled across the Block and now I can't wait to return! It's a very chill atmosphere with great seating inside and out and I love their flooring (yes I notice floors). Very open, high ceilings, clean with a rustic industrial vibe. Lots of beer...and cocktails to select from and our server was friendly, helpful and attentive. There menu has so much to offer for everyone in our group. Lots of vegetarian options for me and plenty of beef offerings for the meat eaters in our group and so much in-between. Order a batch of the cheese curds - you can't go wrong with cheese curds! The Big Bowl salads are just that - BIG! Can't wait to go back and try some of their boards and the tacos looked amazing as well.More

The short rib brunch item was disgusting, service was non existent and a type of millennial arrogance prevailed. "Your so lucky we an wait on you and you can eat our food. "

“Block” has over the last year, become a place I frequent often. Breakfast, lunch or dinner it has been consistently good and that in itself is high praise. It has a casual atmosphere both inside on it traditional table tops or “communal” style tables or...in its outside patio area ( pet friendly). This is a perfect place for family, friends or couples. There is something on the menu for all tastebuds. I have come to really enjoy several of their starters to include the fresh made burrata served with an arugula salad, crispy grilled bread, fig jam and crispy Granny Smith apple slices;as well as the bacon wrapped jalapeños and the drunken mussels. The Moroccan Lamb burger is a family favorite as well. Though I am not much of a “sweet tooth” person, I can never seem to leave the place without the sea salt caramel pot the cream. Their sharable “boards” and flat breads are quite enjoyable as well. If you have not tried this place it is defensively worth a visit... or two.More

One word...DELICIOUS! Trendy place that gives you an escape from traditional EL Paso flavor (beans/rice/tacos). Even though the place was packed, service and seating did not suffer. El Paso needs this kind of trendy cuisine and atmosphere.
