Service with pretense, bordering on rudeness...tried it 3x just to make sure. It appears one must be one of the regular hipsters, or others deemed by the waitress, to be treated well. At least I didn't have to drive 320+ miles to Santa Fake to...More

People in El Paso must be easily impressed. I was told this was the best place for breakfast in town. It was OK, but they served some of the worst/over cooked dry hash brown potatoes on earth. In addition BEWARE.........they serve the tiniest cups of...More

For the money you'll spend, you will be quite unimpressed. I had the chicken and waffles...ugh... first of all they should be ashamed of themselves for serving me burnt chicken (dirty and old frying oil) I had to bring it to their attention since the...More

My favorite restaurant to dine at is the Hello Day Cafe. The Hello Day Cafe is a mid-priced, 10 seat cafe specializing in sandwiches, salads and other delicious items. I love the experience of dining at the Hello Day Cafe because the atmosphere is welcoming,...More

Terrible service and uninspired food. People working were sooo pretentious. This is coming from a girl who spent her college years in Lawrence, KS, worked in historic preservation, shops at farmers' markets, has knitted her own gloves. (What I'm saying is that I am familiar...More

Description
Hello Day Cafe opened it's doors on February 14, 2013. Begun as an eatery for bands and concert-goers in the Tricky Falls / Bowie Feathers building, it quickly expanded to include breakfast and lunch hours for the downtown community. A collaboration between local musician Jim Ward, audio engineer turned chef, Jose Cazares, and videographer turned chef, Hector Saenz, this shoebox restaurant embodies the results of their world travels & experiences. This is evident from the cuisine to the decor to the vibe. With a seasonally changing menu, chefs Jose & Hector are able to utilize local produce, dairy & proteins in a farm-to-table philosophy. From the Mountain View Co-op to Tucumcari cheeses to 4 Daughters Ranch, regional products make their way to your plate. Their hope is to collaborate with more and more local farmers to expand the possibilities for everyone involved. You'll find HDC in downtown El Paso, just south of the Camino Real & Plaza Theater. Located in the same building as Tricky Falls & Bowie Feathers, it's the spot for early morning coffee, seasonal lunches or late night fixes.
