Had lunch with my Hubby there today. It was noonish and only one other person eating in the restaurant. The server was not very friendly to begin with. They have NO lunch specials so I ended up paying close to $10 for Entomadas - the...tomato sauce was sweet and not at all one of my better meals. My hubby had the Flautas which he enjoyed. The server paid no attention to us; not to see how our food was or if we needed anything. Had to flag her down for a lemonade refill ( which was really good BTW); and this with only one other patron. It took at least 25 minutes for us to get our food and imagine my surprise at the "to go" charge on my ticket because I asked for a box for my leftover food! It was only 50 cents but for me it was the principle especially with such a bad experience. I complained at the register, fell on deaf ears on who turned out to be the Manager/Owner. No wonder the place was so empty! Sad to say they lost a future client over 50 cents!!! Go around the corner to Yandell and Willow, to Su Casa. The service leaves alot to be desired sometimes but the food is good and you get sopapillas!More

Discover how it is really made! If you are one who likes delicious and sometimes very old, traditional Mexican fare, visit Amigos Restaurant. This unusual restaurant, located in a little old brick house, offers the best "Chiles Enogadas" in El Paso. This item is not...on the official menu, but if you ask, the waiters will check with the chef to see if they have them. They usually do and they are delicious! These are chile rellenos stuffed with barbequed beef and covered with a cream sauce. Ask them to serve them warmed up, as they are sometimes served cold in the summer. All the other items on the menu are delicious as well! These include Salipicon, Carne Deshebrada burritos, tacos, etc. Atmosphere is authentic old El Paso.More

Great food! Have known the staff for all my life. 50+ years! Highly recommended! Authentic Mexican food at its finest! The Caldillo is excellent along with the red enchiladas with an egg on top!

Had our Christmas party dinner there last night. The waiter was very attentive and the food was very good. It is not your usual Mexican fare. The restaurant was nicely decorated for the holidays.

We love going to Amigos. It is a must everytime we are in the El Paso area! The food is authentic and amazing mexican food. My favorite is the cheese enchilada plate which is less then $9! And my hubby loves all their enchiladas and...tacos. We started with waters and tea and the chips and salsa which were perfect as always. I had my favorite cheese enchiladas which were perfect as always. My hubby had a mixed enchilada plate with one of each type of enchilada on there. For dessert: I had the apple pie a la mode which is delicious. And my hubby had the caramel flan. The service there is amazing. We are always treated like a part of the family when we visit. This is my favorite El Paso restaurant and everyone needs a little Amigos!!!!More

Always great food! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. I love their red sauce as it is a little spicy but it is just the perfect amount of spice. The tacos are great and the flautas too!!! Service is always good...and everyone always seems to be in a great mood. This restaurant is an excellent example of El Paso for visitors and locals. Great food and great service all at a good price too :-)More

Though we arrived just before closing, the staff was warm and welcoming and the owner came to our table several times. We had a group of about 8 and everyone enjoyed their meal and the service. It was quiet and comfortable and an overall pleasant...experience. Next time I go to El Paso I will eat there again.More

My wife and I happened to be in El Paso and just stumbled upon this place. A couple was having their 66th wedding anniversary (one day before our first)... they come there every Friday night. The staff treated them like family and included us in...on the whole "anniversary" thing. Gave us champagne to toast with and shared in their cake. Great way to spend our pre-anniversary night. The food we ordered was very tasty and not expensive. The atmosphere was fine and the staff super nice. Would definitely go back should we ever end up in El Paso again.More

This is a great diner-type restaurant with a friendly staff. The place to go for breakfast with a loved one.
