What's that? Missing a visit to Tia Chole or Abuelita's house out of town? Then come on down to the Jalisco Cafe. Are you looking for delicious and hearty menudo on a Saturday morning? Then come on down to the Jalisco Cafe. This place in...the heart of the Segundo offers authentic food at unbeatable prices. If you don't know what to get, try the Mexican Plate. For less than the price of a six adjective coffee, you too can enjoy a taco, enchilada, red chile, green chile, chile relleno, delicious beans, and round off with rice. My only negative is that sometimes, with few kitchen staff, the orders come out as they are ready. So if you order different menu items, keep that in mind. If however, you have time to chat, enjoy the DELICIOUS salsa and chips and savor real aguas frescas, then you'll be fine. Stop on by at least once, and I promise you will love the food.More

It's not a fancy place but that's what makes it so Charming. Right away when we walk through the doors it feels like they know us even though it's our first time there. My family orders the menudo they love it and I stick to...a chile relleno burrito. The beans are delicious the chile relleno is cooked to perfection. The only way this could be better is if they made the tortillas there themselves. Someone else ordered the enchiladas with two eggs on top also a great choice. The prices are reasonable and even under market price. What makes this place wonderful is the staff truly does everything in their power to make you feel at home and to make sure that you have everything you need in order to enjoy your meal. LOURDES has been there since she was 11 and is my favorite server. Will go back two weekends in a row.More

I don't even know where to start, how do you describe the most authentic, family owned local establishment that runs deep in El Paso tradition. This is truly the Best Menudo and Breakfast, brunch location I could recommend to anyone visiting El Paso. It is...located in the Segundo Barrio neighborhood off 7th street. You are treated like family regardless of where you come from. The service is amazing and the local flare is the best. Made from scratch. This place is very reasonable and the quality and portions won't allow you to depart on empty. It's simply down to earth with all the right ingredients. Do yourself a favor and hit up Jaliscos on Sunday after church or on break. Enjoy!More

We stopped for lunch while touring murals in El Segundo Barrio. The restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch. The food is good and the employees are friendly.

Great Veteran owned Mexican Café in the heart of Old El Paso! Excellent Mexican breakfast, lunch, and dinner at very reasonable prices. Menudo is a tasty specialty! Jalisco Café is frequented by neighborhood residents, locals from all parts of town, professionals of all backgrounds, and...many other diverse groups. I try to eat there at least once a week! Owner grew up in this neighborhood and is a U.S. Navy Veteran, great friend to all who visit el Jalisco Café. He may even sing a song for you! Make it a point to visit where you are in El Paso, TX.More
