Had to stop here - a Clinton hangout in the day. Love these hole in the wall places that are always so fun to visit. We had the catfish and it was great. Place was busy at lunch.

Doe's is one of those places that can't help but become part of a city's heritage. It's small, unpretentious and everyone has eaten there. With its hole-in-the-wall appearance, checkered table cloths and homely menu, this is the real deal. It was full on a Friday lunch time. I had the tamales with a bowl of chilli and fries. Everything was... More

This place is legendary in the south. Giant steaks cooked perfectly, amazing tamales and the best BBQ shrimp around. Not fancy but you will not regret going here. It's part of southern tradition. Must visit!

This was a great find on our trip to Little Rock. Humble setting for a restaurant but when you walk in the service and environment is great. Checkerboard table clothes, pick your own table and seat yourself. We ordered 2-1/2 pound porterhouse. Wife want well done, I wanted medium. It was cooked and cut perfectly. Came with fries, bread, stewed... More

We were in Little Rock to see the Clinton Presidential Library, so why not eat where Bill ate? And it was so good. We went at lunch around 11 a.m. and the place was already packed. Proper business men in suits and ties eating sloppy, gooey burgers and fries. Someone recommended the tamales, but you should skip them. Wrapped in... More

Doe's is a cousin to the original Doe's in Mississippi. This always-popular restaurant is renown for its steaks and hot tamales. It still sits in its ancient, original location in downtown Little Rock, which adds to its charm. Doe's "has the meat" - if you're a meat lover, this restaurant is a little slice of Heaven. A periennial favorite for... More

Excellent steaks, but don't forget the tamales and chili. For a change order salmon, it is enough for 3 or 4 and is great. If you go for lunch, try the best footlong hotdog with chili along with fries.

In town for business and I always like to try the local spots. I have to say this was one of the best steaks I have ever had. Perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly as ordered, medium rare. You can never go wrong with two types of potatoes, hand cut French fries and new potatoes with a marinated salad and toast.... More

We had the three pound Porterhouse, done to perfection. All the sides were good, and the tamales are particularly tasty. Fine birthday night out.
