Love this place. Pleasing dark wood pub atmosphere, comfortable seats, cozy nooks and crannies, and the food is great and quite affordable. This popular watering hole in the National Register of Historic Places Capital Hotel and an easy walk in downtown Little Rock is the place to go for a great burger or more sophisticated fare. Everything is freshly prepared... More

I like stopping by the Capital Bar & Grill for a quick bite. Service is usually good, but depends on the time of day you stop in. Food is good, but hard to find much if you don't eat red meat (which I don't.) Nice music in the evenings.

I visited Capital Bar a couple of months ago for an early dinner after a day-long training session. The session was casual for comfort, and I didn't change before I walked in. I suppose that's why the server was haughty and barely acknowledged me. He certainly didn't make me feel welcome. He was probably in his late 20s -- perhaps... More

This restaurant is inside the capital hotel in downtown. I had lunch here with friends. The service was very good, my sandwich was also good. None of my friends had any complaints either. If you are staying at the hotel, it's a suitable option.

My buddy and I went for a bite Sunday evening and stumbled upon the Bar at the Capital Hotel. The food was very good as was the service. In the corner there was a Jazz Trio playing at just the right tempo and volume. The decore is classic turn of the century hotel bar. The combination made for a very... More

This was not a first time visit. Our most recent trip to Capital Bar and Grill for lunch was a little disappointing. The lunch special of the day was the signature fried chicken. Unfortunately, it was overcooked and somewhat dry. The BLT special was cold by the time it reached the table and the bread was definitely "toasted" more than... More

It's casual enough not to feel stuffy but nice enough to feel a bit upscale. Children will find something on the menu they will eat while the grown ups have an exquisite steak, poultry, or seafood dish. The wine selection is exceptional.

We were staying in downtown Little Rock recently and this looked to be a decent choice for a downtown location. The place is well appointed and appealing if you like a dark, cave-like feeling. The place looked to be quite upscale, but we were willing to pay a bit extra for good food. Unfortunately our hopes and our money was... More

Simply stated these folks make the best drinks in town. Sit at the bar and watch them work. You will be impressed. Ask for the black eyed pea and pecan bar snack. You will love it.

We love the hotel and the bar! Staff is friendly and a cool refreshing strawberry daiquiri is just the thing to battle the Arkansas heat and humidity!
