Having read the Trip Advisor reviews, I booked this immediately when I knew we would be visiting the Tenement museum across the street. The three of us loved the ambience of this petite but ever so charming restaurant. Johan, the chef-owner, belongs in the company...of Jacques Pepin, in fact, he may already know him! French tapas - who knew it would be out of this world? We had tuna, escargots, baked musroom, and brussels sprouts and the rose wine was divine! The waiter, whose name I forget, but he was from Delaware, was so expert in his care of us, paying close attention, but not interjecting into our conversation except when we asked, which was often. He was perfect with his recommendations of some of his favorites. He scored 100 percent with each of us. Johan works in an ever so tiny kitchen space, and does everything himself, with no assistance. Incredible and we shall return next time we visit NY. You must go to this heavenly place.More

Excuse my French is a lovely, wonderful, vibrant, charming place!!! Service and people there are very sweet and attentive, they make you feel home. The food is delicious and handmade in front of you by an authentic and talented French Chef, his crepes are succulent...and the best I ever had (not even in France I had so good ones!) All of the tapas are original, delicious and made with fresh products. Also their cocktails are fantastic, I just can recommend this place and encourage anyone to enter this small, cosy, adorable and memorable place, you won't regret it!More

Nice peeps inhabit this place so the vibe is one of NYC’s finest. The food is tremendous - try the scallops -one of the best i’ve had- and crab toasts. It’s right across the street from the Tenement Museum and makes for a hearty contrast...of how far we’ve come in this world!More

Oh yes! After avoiding the trap to going to a similarly named Pardon My Frnch we had the pelasure to enjoy here the eycellent, really excellent tartare, duck confit, brussel sprouts in a magic way, and salmon worth of royalty. The tapas were exquisitely arranged,...and the selection of custom cocktails was perfect to go with that. Go in winter, because the air condition is not working really well, though! I will go often!More

I am a meat and potatoes guy. When I found out we were going to a French restaurant to celebrate my daughters birthday, the first thing I did was look up the menu. They serve small portions to be shared among the patrons. So I...figured I would eat the sliders. First of all the place is small, but the decor is fantastic. It makes the place seem larger. Having been in the trades during my working life, I really thought they did so much with what they had to work with. I can't comment on the drinks since I do not drink, other than to say, everyone in our group seemed to really enjoy what they were having and tried several of the signature drinks offered. The food, was very very good. I tried most of the selections that were ordered. The sliders were great, I had four. The brussel sprouts were delicious. The garlic sausage was really good. The other things that I tried, were also good but my daughters did not tell me what they were. The desserts, were so typically French, sweet and tasty. I left completely stuffed and very satisfied. Hopefully, I get another chance to visit when I come back to the city, since I live in PA.More

Went there with my husband. Loved it so much we brought another couple back the next evening. Our server Bill was very friendly and the service was excellent. Two for one happy hour til 8. Champagne drinks are infused with roses, lavender, etc each with...floating flowers on top. We had the charcuterie both nights. It was delicious.More

One of the coolest restaurants Ive been in my life. In the trendy Lower East Side. Everything here was incredible! The french house music was the best music Ive hear lately in a restaurant. I want to find in New York City more places like...this one. I was craving my city, Mexico City, and the first cocktail they had it was called CDMX, I mean, Mexico City, wow. It wasn't that tasty but the attempt was ok. It had mezcal and tamarindo, it was too strong. there are much more tasty mezcal cocktails around. I felt in Paris. The food concept is french tapas, I had the escargots and the foie gras. Both ok, nothing out if this world but decent. The escargots super difficult to take them out of their shells. The waiters great. My kind of place, Bravo!More

Enjoyed a light dinner and a sampling of ryes from the top shelf bar. We sat at the bar, enjoyed the brussel sprouts and rounded it off with a French press coffee. Great atmosphere, nice fairly priced wine list.

My wife and I stumbled across this cute little basement level French cafe for a late night drink after a night out in the Lower East Side. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was excellent -- it felt like our local neighborhood spot...though we had never set foot in there before. Did not sample much food (except a yummy dessert) but everything looked good. Would love the chance to go back.More

This tiny Gem of a place is amazing with its French flare its cocktails. Okay it is imitation art on the walls but the decor itself makes you actually feel your been thrown back in time. This was a first date for me and it...was exciting. The mistress biggest excitement was a small tapas size plates so I did have a few of them and didn't look like I was overheating but they were full of flavor. This is something to definitely try. Don't miss out and in the area that it's in across the street from the tenement Museum make a day of it!More
