The city offers so many great bakeries these days. I'd avoid Bouchon Bakery. Their cream puff is only thing that is edible.

This bakery has very buttery pastries and breads/rolls. Best of all, their chocolate bouchons (like a mini-brownie puff) are out-of-this word for chocolate lovers like me. Alhough each bouchon is small, I eat tiny bits at a time because it is intense in flavor! The view from this bakery level of the building is beautiful too. You can observe the... More

We settled on this restaurant as a convenient place to dine before attending the evening's performance of Candide. The view over Columbus Circle is appealing. Both of us had the $39 three-course prix fixe, which more than met our expectations. We both had the roasted squash appetizer, which was succulent. My wife chose the Scotch salmon as her main course;... More

Inconvenient to access in Warner centre, fare is quality but not a great deal of variety. It is good just nothing like the standard of excellence Mr Keller is capable of producing. Did not come back.

This is a wonderful extension of the Keller empire. The baked goods are top notch and the quality of the coffee is unrivaled. It can get crowded in the morning so i suggest getting there early for your croissant fix.

Columbus circle was a neat find! Shops were nice and we stopped here to get a treat! The cheesecake was delicious and would recommend for sure!

We actually had brunch at Bouchon during the Macy's Day parade on Thanksgiving day. It was a great place to view to parade from a distance, the third floor of the Time Warner Center. As with anything associated with Thomas Keller the brunch was delicious. We were not expecting to eat a full Thanksgiving meal but when we saw them... More

Visited this restaurant but there were no tables. We were advised to return in 20 minutes and first available table would be reserved. Sure enough this was done and we enjoyed an excellent lunch in very pleasant surroundings. It was a cold day and we both enjoyed piping hot soup, fresh bread and well filled baguettes. Our waiter could not... More

Stopped by for lunch and not such a great variety. Did not have pastries but a good variety. Coffee was lukewarm but was happily replaced.

We opted to have breakfast from the bakery vs. the sit down restaurant. The baked goods were very good and the staff was very friendly. The only draw back is the lack of low table seating and seating in general, so be prepared to take your items and go.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
