I’m so happy to see that amid a sea of gentrification The Dish is still going strong after all these years. Friendly staff and great good.

We walk a long distance to go to this restaurant for lunch but it is worth the walk. Steady staff and a variable lunch menu

I love a good local diner with a huge menu and breakfast any time you want... The dish is exactly that. It can be a no frills, quick meal kind of place. Or you can come with a big group of friends and hang out for a few hours. Good service, friendly clientele and good diner food.

If you are hungry and want non expensive food that you can find in any diner. This is the place to go. Mediocre at best.

Huge menu. Daily specials are incredible. Perfect for some post workout protein. Huge portions. Eggs all night. Fits all appetites. Plenty of veg selections. Enormous salads. Great bread basket and coffee. Cocktails are well priced! Prompt and friendly service. Cannot go wrong here. Lovely balcony on the top floor, overlooking fun on 8th Ave. Wonderful respite.

I arrived in Chelsea on 23rd November and my first port of call was Dish on the morning of my visit for my first American Breakfast. Have to say some great staff and some amazing food that was served, the coffee kept coming which was great. The value, food and quality was very good. Due to this I visited twice... More

This restaurant was very well laid out and staff were genuine and welcoming. A very varied menu and reasonably priced. Service was excellent with regular check back to make sure everything was okay. My only regret was finding this hideaway on my last day in New York!

We recently ate breakfast at this neighborhood diner. It had gotten very good online reviews which is why we decided to try it. Positives include attentive service when we sat down and constant coffee refills. The food, though, was a big negative. All of our items came to our table lukewarm when they should have been hot. We ordered the... More

We live on the west coast and you cannot get real corn beef hash anywhere. So finding this restaurant for breakfast let me indulge in my cravings. It was recommended by our hotel staff and was just across the street. We never had to wait to get a seat and had quick service. This place became our goto breakfast restaurant.... More

On the good side, Dish has a very large menu and its not expensive. However, the food is about as average as you can get. Bland, not well presented and institutional quality ingredients. With a zillion good places to eat in NYC, you can certainly do better. We went there for lunch with a big group and the food was... More
