The food is average. Service is very good and fast. Had lunch at this place. Quantity is large, but quality is so so. People don't eat large lunch. How about exchange the quantity into better quality. People may favour it.

If you are in the Times Square area and looking for a quick and tasty Chinese meal this restaurant will fit the bill at a very reasonable cost. The food is really quite good and the location is excellent if you are hanging out just south of the glitzy Times Square experience.

Small drinks, water never refilled. Food came out immediately and tasted overcooked - leading me to believe it was prepared in advance then microwaved. There too many good restaurants in New York to waste time & money on this one.

The staff at the hotel recommended the restaurant so we tried it. The food was good.......when we finally got it. The waiter was horrible. I can only presume other people complained because after he took our order the orders of the two tables near us, we didn't see him anymore. Someone else took over his duties. Another customer had an... More

Had a lovely meal at this restaurant, service spot on, happy hour drinks meant a reasonably priced glass of wine in New York. A group of us went and everyone felt it was one of the best Chinese meals they had had.

Hummm, hummm best in town. Not to spicy, but just perfect, the shrimp for me were are the best, every year, I fly to NY and don't want to miss the Szechuan Style Dumplings, to me, they are a signature. Is not too hot if you worry about.

My friends and I came in one night for a birthday at around 9:30. This was a Saturday night in mid-town. The host told us to please hurry up with our order before showing us to our seat; strange, but didn't really think too much of it. The waiter barely spoke English and therefore did not understand our drink orders.... More

Me and two of my co-workers had lunch at Chef Yu. I had the Young chow fried rice and the others had selections from the lunch menu. I'm a Chinese food junkie and have had it all over the world and this was by far the best mid town Manhattan has to offer. Atmosphere is very nice, wait service was... More

Very average food. The wine in the happy hour tasted off. The starters were nice and the location was great. The staff were average as well

We were staying at a nearby hotel and the concierge recommended that we order from Chef Yu. We received delivery within 10 minutes of ordering and our food was hot, fresh and fantastic. I had the pan fried dumplings and sweet and sour chicken and my friend had the General Tso chicken which was some of the best I've tasted.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
