Visited here as wanted a change and we were staying in the hotel Metro next door, the staff were very welcoming and friendly and the service was second to none. The food was absolutely beautiful and huge portions, spicy seafood noodles were packed with king prawns and tasted delicious, in fact I couldn't finish as there was so much. Very... More

Hyo Dong Gak was recommended as one of the better Korean-Chinese restaurants in the area. I was surprised that the food ended up mediocre at best, and pricier than most. The jajangmyun lacked flavor, the tangsooyook didn't taste right, and service was lacking.

During our recent family trip to NYC, we wanted to find a "Korean/Chinese" restaurant for "ja jang myun" and "jjam bong", which are two staple dishes for "Korean/Chinese" restaurants. The ja jang myun and tang soo yook (sweet and sour pork) were delicious. The jjam bong was above average. Service was fast. We did go to the restaurant for lunch... More

Tried this for Saturday night dinner as convenient for Herald Square. Food was served promptly and it tasted great - seemed to be very much authentic Korean cuisine :-) Staff were very friendly and prices very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.

Right next door to our hotel, this Chinese doesn't fail to impress. Both times eating there we were the only westerners in the restaurant which says a lot for the quality of the food. Food is excellent but be aware the portions are huge! Service is good

This is called a Chinese restaurant but serves Korean dishes as well... Their new specialty is what is essentially the Korean version of Wiener Schnitzel... They have a pork and chicken version... I had the chicken version and it came with an Americanized salad and the customary rice and a few side dishes... The waitress was a Chinese lady; she... More

Service was ok but famous Jajangmyun (noodle dish topped with a thick sauce made of chunjang/black soybean paste) didn't meet my expectation. I love Jajangmyun but not from this restaurant. Will definitely go somewhere else if I want to eat Jajangmyun again.

Went in for food and we were disappointed.Service was ok , food was awful , Twenty dollars for a plate that had lovely sauce and veg but the meat quality was terrible , grizzle and brown meat for chicken ! I only left a tiny tip of 1 dollar fifity and one of our group was confronted to say that... More

We ordered a takeaway from here ordering a variety of meat dishes.. the chicken was fatty and the beef questionable. We couldn't finish the food as it wasn't nice at all. What you order from the menu and what you receive seems very different - didn't like the noodles but possibly because they were Korean rather than Chinese they were... More

WOW ! Delivery to a hotel in LESS time that they had promised. WOW ! And food was HOT !! Had an issue with no Sweet n Sour sauce initially, but when I called them back, LESS THAN 5 minutes later the gentleman showed up with the sauce.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
